...he had 10 prior arrests and had a warrant out on him at the time of the shooting.

It doesn't matter. Cops are NOT judge, jury and executioner. The cop broke the law and appears to have committed murder.

I said nothing about the shooting. I did comment upon the social value of the “citizen” who died.

“Something that people have not gotten into yet, is that all 7 of the officers who showed up immediately after, are being looked into, to see to what level, if at all, that they may have played along with a cover up.”

Yeah, you’re right. Because pre-video police reports were essentially complete fiction relative to what actually happened, so there almost had to be cover-up involvement by others than Slager. It may be that this whole department or a big part of it is rotten to the core.

He had far more social value than the cop who murdered him.
No murders on his rap sheet.

Once again I made no comment on the shooting or on the police officer.

You commented on “the social value” of the decedent.
I commented on “the social value” of the decedent as well.

I merely pointed out that “the social value” of the decedent compares favorably with “the social value” of the police officer who murdered him.

Absolutely an apples to apples comparison.

Wait until the silent witnesses and evidence emerge : all the events that transpired prior to the ectual shooting, but was unrecorded out of deliberate “carelessness.”

<><><><><

So you think somehow all these silent witnesses will provide justification for:

a) shooting someone in the back from a distance of what, 15-20 yards when the runner still has the taser wires in his back, and

b) picking up the taser (sure is what that looks like) and dropping it next to the dead guy (perhaps the cop left his throw down weapon at home?)

Not seeing it, publius.

Scott doesn’t appear to have ever had the taser.

but there certainly seems to be some evidence that scott was tased ... those sure look like wires attached to his back as he starts to run

You are free to comment on anyone you chose but you are not free to make a comparison that was not made by the initial commentator. The family is suing for Wrongful Death but Wrongful death measures the value of the decedent’s support. There was no support. Of course we will be treated to claims that he just turned his life around and had been accepted into Harvard’s Medical school and that he liked puppies.

A tail light, caused all this?

An alleged broken tail light. The dead man's brother says Scott was fastidious about keeping his car up, because he feared being stopped by police. I've been stopped and harassed by cops, and it is not pleasant even though I was innocent every time. But one time, I took a right turn without coming to a complete stop and cops pulled me over. The cops actually apologized for pulling me over but just wanted to warn me about a non-working brake light - pleasant surprise that time. Your experience depends on who does the stopping, and it shouldn't.

Evading arrest
Resisting Arrest
Resisting arrest by force

I’m sure one of them would fall into that category.

Absolutely I can make a comparison.

If a commentator makes an asinine quip about the general value of the poor the thought behind it is fair game.

Feel free to whine and equivocate all you want.

The old saw about the heat and the kitchen does apply to you, and you were not taken out of context.

"Justification, what justification?" ... Didn't you hear? The "suspect's" tail light was out! Isn't that "justification" enough for murdering him by shooting the tailtail-light perp multiple times in the back? Sarcasm off

Frankly, I hope they throw the kitchen sink at this so-called "officer of the law" because he deserves everything coming to him. Good thing the event was recorded, otherwise he would have gotten away with murder plain and simple.

Haven’t you heard? His “crime” was that his tail light was out!

Ah! “The Holy Poor.” Interesting, the poor have value, those who willfully fail to support their families have value? Amazing revelation as to your political position. “Occupy Wall Street!”

So said the cop. However, he lied about the shooting/killing. He could be lying about the tail light.

I’m sure one of them would fall into that category.

And you are basing that on the word of a cop who shot a man in the back, lied about everything and planted a weapon on a dead man?
