The usual lies from msnbc. This one really got me upset. Either the author is deliberately not telling the truth or he’s too ignorant to know the law, or both. Heres the link to the NRA website about carrying of guns:
http://www.nraam.org
“During the 2015 NRA Annual Meeting & Exhibits, lawfully carried firearms will be permitted in the Music City Center with the proper license in accordance with Tennessee law. Bridgestone Arena prohibits the possession of firearms. When carrying your firearm, remember to follow all federal, state and local laws.”

Totally disgusted at MSNBC

Liberals lie so much that they cannot tell the difference in fact or fantasy.

The NRA should not have held their convention there.

What is the NRA doing holding a convention in a place that prohibits firearms?! NRA should be embarrassed about this, not blame the facility, whose rules were well known. Hey, maybe next year they will hold it in DC?

From local news the law prohibits functional firearms at the venue. The NRA is just following the law.

The guns in the manufacturer’s exhibits, like they are at the SHOT show, will be deactivated by having their firing pins removed or other means so that they cannot fire. This is standard practice and has been for decades.

I hope and trust they are fighting the law.

Who ever heard of a shoot out at a gun show?

Maybe something to do with this is why Sarah Palin cancelled her speaker’s engagement.

Silliness are the Buwitts removed?
Can ya clonk someone over the head and “pistol whip him”?

Was the 25 gal of petrol in the car removed on the drive to the site?

Is the article based on lies or ignorance?

Guns OK at convention floor (per applicable law — for example CCW permit).

Guns not OK where Republican Presidential hopefuls and NRA leaders will speak — but there will be a ton of security.

IOW, nothing unusual...

Even if this was true, why would this be a bad idea. You can bet that ONE ACCIDENT, ONE SLIP-UP would be Christmas and New Year together every day for MONTHS for the MSM.

This got me wondering, about what will happen to the crime rate in the city during the convention. Conventioneers and tourists are usually easy pickings, and Nashville is not exactly renowned as a...uhh...”crime-free zone”.

Apparently the Bridgestone Arena is holding an NRA sponsored Alan Jackson concert on Saturday. I ‘m gonna guess that they sell beer there.

Call it what you will but that doesn't change facts. Concealed carry by the public is allowed in the convention hall, but the display guns are deactivated. It was the same at last year's NRA annual meeting in Indiana, and the year before in Houston, and the year before that in St. Louis.

NRA members are pro gun and also pro gun safety. Some people like this writer just doesn't get that and thinks that any attempt at gun safety is being hypocritical.
