Why? The water is presumably clean. Sounds kind of like a low-rent bidet. All things considered, it’s probably more sanitary than TP.

People often decide something is “more sanitary” without thinking it through. For many years we’ve had those electric hand dryers claiming they were installed to be more sanitary.

Right. They were installed because they’re cheaper to operate for the guy paying for the john.

Recently ran across an interesting variant from Dyson. Uses high-speed “air blades.” Very effective.

Problem is that by definition it takes the residual bacteria on your hands that previously created a sanitary hazard by being in the trash can on paper towels, and it aerosolizes those bacteria so you can inhale them.

A sanitation win-win!

All things considered, it’s probably more sanitary than TP.

Because aiming a stream of water at your anus and having it wash feces down your legs (all over your underwear and pants, in and on your shoes) is sanitary. ?

P.S. After women use a bidet, they have to dry themselves off with something.

Do they use a towel or toilet paper ?
