The author seems to be rather confused on the meaning of "private resources." Liberals term "private resources" as that which governments can forcibly extract from the holdings of citizens. Those are known as "confiscated," not "private."

Conservatives give far more to charities than liberals.

I know this by direct knowledge. Doing tax returns for each type is very revealing.

Liberals I've dealt with generally have ZERO to report for charitable contributions.
