The real losers are all the bitter freepers and their duke hatred.
Duke typically get the calls in their favor in most games. I remember when Duke use to flop like 2 feet from the opposing players and a ref standing right there would call a charge on the opposing players
Well when one team is allowed to mug you and the other isn’t... Them the out of bounds call cinched it in my mind. The refs had money on duke.
Loser? I respect Coach K but Duke did get favorable calls once Wisconsin was up by 9 in the 2nd half! Duke typically get calls in a lot of game, if you deny that then you’re blind. The flopping years during the JJ Redick years was ridiculous. Laettner should have been tossed in that classic game against Kentucky when he stepped on a player.
So I’m am idiot for starting the obvious. I don’t hate duke at all. I’m just glad SEC didn’t make the finals.
But your knee jerk reaction and blindness to the obvious horrible call at the end of the game—on replay no less shows who isn’t thinking in their right mind. But I forgive you... Sports does this to people.
It would have been nice to have duke win it without the help.
Wisconsin had by far the better in the first half of the officiating.....get over it...and Duke is just much quicker than Wisconsin....they are....that’s what caused it.

I really don’t like basketball but I do watch some of the NCAA tourney, so I’m not familiar with how they always get breaks from refs. But tonight only the most blindly loyal fanboys can deny the refs made sure duke won.
On a side note did dukes #3 look like a lesbian? Reminded me of a Rachel Maddow some what.
I’m talking about the long history of favoritism on Duke’s behalf to show that this isn’t an isolated event where they get refs help. I give Coach K and the players for playing a good game but they got help from the refs
Their speed made the refs call the out of bounds wrong on replay? Now I’ve heard everything.
I don’t know which team I despise more, Kentucky or Dook.
Both every year get the cream of the crop in recruits and Mike K. has bought into this one and done as bad as Calipari. UK had 12 McDonald’s AA and Dook had 9. Wisconsin has NONE! Would have been great for a team like Wisconsin to have won the title. But the only way to beat Dook is to have a huge lead on them in the final minutes. If it’s left up to the refs they will give Dook the call each and every time. They won the game at the line, the same way they win the majority of their close games.

ESPN and SEC in football try to make sure the SEC always wins, so I can’t dismiss your argument. I just don’t care enough about basketball to notice. However when I do take time to watch a game I expect it to be fair. Tonight it wasn’t fair. Duke may still have won but that one call made sure they did.
I don’t hate Duke. Neutral observer. The referees were awful in the second half. And the calls went in Dukes favor. Phantom fouls. Stepping out of bounds. Last touch on ball before it went out. But the worst was the blocking call on Wisconsin when the Duke guy just ran over him. Then on the very next play the Wisconsin guy posts up the Duke defender flops and its an offensive foul. Wisconsin did not shoot well but the refs turned the game around.
No one likes a sore winner.

no, the out of bounds missed call was bad....there was one bad block charge, but hell, Wisky had about 5 go in their favor in the first half.
but yes, speed and quickness does draw more fouls...always has, always will.
First half though doesn’t mean crap. That’s why I don’t like basketball. Just need to watch the final two minutes. It’s almost always tied at that point. The first half and most the second is just to get the players tired and some in foul trouble.
They could do a bunch of games in just one hour. Have the players trace for 1 hour (off camera). Last place runners get 4 fouls. Have some distance requirements and if you don’t run at least X distance that’s a foul. Then play for two minutes. So a bunch of 2 minute games.
