I don't know. Look at all the white guys who want to be black and do everything they can to appear so, aping the dress, dialect, gestures, etc. I think many of them would leap at the chance to say yes, they're black, even though it would be nonsensical.
Jeb doesn't even speak English in his own home...it's Spanish only.
