I’m just surprised that you are claiming to be a veteran.

Where do I claim to be a veteran? And why does it matter? Are you on some kind of hunt? What little idea are you pursuing? LOL!

You said you served, “”you aren’t qualified to judge my service”” and repeatedly let it remain, and you do not correct it, so you are clearly a veteran.

Are you saying that you don’t have any military service?

I haven't said anything about the military or being a veteran. You're the one obsessed with all of that. All I said was "my service," and that I wouldn't explain it to you, and I told you why. What's fascinating to me is watching you probe around on this completely irrelevent topic, after being completely unable to defend your position on this thread, as if you think you're going to pounce on some dark secret. What's that dark secret, Ansel? Tell me what it is, and what it means. Go ahead - let it out. I enjoy hearing how you think.

Yes, your service, your military service.

You have already claimed to be a veteran and in post after post you reinforce it, and do not deny it.

I think you are lying, you clearly know nothing about marriage and family life in the military.

You are also a libertarian, all in all, just a time wasting troll.

I think this is a move in the right direction. The state shouldn’t be in the marriage business...

Been saying the same for a very long time that the State should not be in the marriage business.

The "State" (Government) got involved in the "marriage business" when the King of England decided to tax marriages. Prior to that, marriage was a religious ceremony only.

In modern day America, a marriage license is really nothing more than a "contract" between two people and the state. That contract defines what happens when the marriage fails, how assets are to be divided, etc..

I think every state needs to "get out of the marriage business" and simply tax married couples like everyone else.

That would certainly remove at least some "incentive" for homo's to marry, and they darn sure wouldn't find a good bible believing church that would "marry" them either.

No I haven't, Ansel, I never did claim to be a vet. There are many valid types of service besides the military, however you are clearly too ignorant to accept anything other than what you did in the service - at your level - so there's no point whatsoever in discussing other kinds of "service" with you. What you don't get, though, is that someone who is proud of their service - whatever it has been - doesn't give a crap about your juvenile accusations because they don't mean anything.

You're obviously used to intimidating boys, and you talk like a teenage recruit on his first leave impressed with his own shiny shoes. You're anxious to slander, you make things up, you make personal attacks and you don't acknowledge when you are wrong. In short, I find you irrelevent, and your attempt to judge me and everyone else by your narrow standards tedious and stupid.

This thread is a perfect example - you're so far off track one could easily think you decided to trash the thread deliberately. After listening to what you call your positions, however, I think you're just being you.

So I'm done here. And try not to put words in my mouth. I know that's a difficult concept to comprehend, but give it a shot, okay? Speak your own words, own your own thoughts, and stick to your own life story. In other words, grow the hell up.

Goodnight.

LOl, I didn’t care if you served or not, but you seem obsessed with it, that is why you played games so long and wanted to give the impression that you had.

You kept arguing about details of military life and in the most ignorant and obnoxious manner, so asking you if you have actually ever known the life you kept arguing about, was a simple question.

Go look at your posts, you are acting like an expert on military life regarding marriage and families, when as it turns out, you know nothing about it.

Excellent. The state has no business in the affairs of marriage.

>> Marriage needs to go back to the churches where it belongs.

That is, remain limited to...

Homo marriage is a device that’s being used to extricate the sacrament of marriage from Christianity — it’s part of the process to deconstruct the foundation of the Country. The sodomites are nothing more than pawns enlisted to facilitate this outcome.

That would be a legal instrument known as a “Will”. Perhaps you’ve heard of it.

“...more than a “contract” between two people and the state.”

Not even that. It’s two contracts one between one party and the state and the other between the other party and the state. I put it that way because if it were a contract between two people, it would be null and void if one or both didn’t live up to the terms of the contract. (vows for instance)

And the state will yet be round to get theirs. Plus suppose it’s contested. Who resolves?

I’d wish we could rid ourselves of this monster too. But sometimes it’s required. No police either?

Dude, really? It’s not that difficult of a concept. Wills have existed for centuries. Courts exist to resolve contract disputes of all kinds and have for centuries.

The existence of a scrap of paper issued by some county clerk isn’t necessay other than to acknowledge the filing of paperwork.

“Here is our marriage contract. May I have a receipt please? Thank you and have a nice day.” No “license” needed. I warned about this very scenario years ago during the DOMA dust up. Conservatives ceded the premise of the argument, namely that it is the province of government to get in the business of sanctioning the interpersonal relationships of consenting adults.

It was a trap and you all walked right into it. Don’t like the outcome much, do you.

Almost any situation you can name can be handled under existing contract law. Get the government out of it complety except for the Courts to resolve the disputes.

Happy Easter.
