Indiana Pizzeria Receives Over $100,000 in Donations After Media Backlash Over Anti-Gay Comments
The Wrap ^ | April 2, 2015 | By Greg Gilman

Memories Pizza owner Crystal O’Connor previously said, “If a gay couple came in and wanted us to provide pizzas for their wedding, we would have to say no”

Memories Pizza, the Indiana restaurant that temporarily closed on Wednesday due to backlash resulting from its public refusal to cater same-sex weddings, has had a major reversal of fortune.

Over 3,600 people have banded together to “relieve the financial loss endured by the proprietors’ stand for faith” and raised a total of $108,555 in just 17 hours through crowdfunding site GoFundMe.

Memories Pizza, “a proud Christian establishment,” took the national spotlight on Wednesday after owner Crystal O’Connor told a local ABC affiliate “we would have to say no” to a gay couple if they asked to buy a large number of pizzas for their wedding.

The business, however, said if a gay couple stepped into the restaurant, they wouldn’t be denied service — although, it’s likely gay patrons will avoid making memories at Memories all together. . .

The fund keeps growing. It’s like that scene at the end of its a wonderful life.

I love it!

The libs are SO p*ssed off by this. Even scammers are trying to derail and/or capitalize on it.

At least one GoFundMe scam was shut down and, a fake Facebook page (established today) is trying to get people to donate to a PayPal account rather than the legitimate GoFundMe.

And we have our own saboteurs in our midst failing miserably in their efforts to derail this fundraising effort.

Never been to one like that. Kinda the point. Why would the pizza shop owner make a statement like that? Just naive I guess.

Exactly. Yes I know the go fund me site isn’t a free service. (shocking! Someone isn’t creating that service for free!) But the overhead is FAR FAR lower than Wounded Warrior, Susan Komen, United Way,,etc.

But for me, the cool thing is that late yesterday, an innocent small town person was thinking their business was destroyed. They were probably miserable last night and terrified of what the future held for them.

Today, they can face life knowing they have a chance to move this behind them. And they also know they aren’t alone.

What the saboteur fails to realize, is that seeing the number growing encourages people to want to be part of something bigger than themselves.
It readily shows them their power when they fight the gaystapo.

This is worth the 5% the site charges for a fee. It would be nowhere near this amount if it was random checks in the snail mail.

$232,701 in just 22 hrs. The word just got out today. It's just starting. Hopefully, this establishment will use the funds to freedoms advantage...... Like making pizzas with Leviticus stamped on the crust.
"Sorry. Only sell one style pizza. The Leviticus style. If you don't like our Leviticus pizza, you'll have to go to another joint." Or Wedding cakes that say "One Man-One woman" on the side. "Sorry. It's the only style cake we make. Take it or leave it."
Businessess should do that. Homoes can't tell them WHAT they have to sell. LOL.

Why would the pizza shop owner make a statement like that? Just naive I guess.

Their restaurant is filled with Christian Knick Knacks and posters and they probably have a fish on their door and they probably advertise on the local christian radio station and in church bulletins. They were an easy target for a Nazi-propagandist reporter who wanted to make a quick name for herself and destroy a Christian business in the process.

So an intrepid reporter with no soul targeted the store and then found this young girl who is obviously a strong committed Christian who is not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ and they shoved a microphone in front of her face and asked her a question that I would hope most committed Christians would respond similarly. "Would you cater a Gay Marriage."

She responded that if the opportunity came up (which it never would because in the 10,000 year history of Marriage, not one wedding has ever been catered by a pizza delivery boy) "I would have to say no."

The reporter, of course, left out the fact that the girl had said that they serve everyone and that gay people are welcome in her restaurant.

It was a set up. They had to look high and low to find the right sucker and then they did all they could to destroy her, her business, her family just to make sure that everyone else on the planet was frightened enough to get in line with the gay agenda program.

So there's the background as to why she said what she said.

Would you have said anything different? Are you willing to use your talents to participate in a religious ceremony where they celebrate sodomy?

The owners said they had never had such a request. They were singled out for questioning by a local tv station editor because they are openly Christian in their business.

IOWs...they were targeted for extermination

Of course it is.

I wonder how many of these gays are actually “getting married” versus just attacking Christians.
