As talks over a nuclear deal with Iran continued past self-imposed deadlines, Israels intelligence minister has warned that the military option is on the tableand noted that Israel does not need U.S. cooperation to carry out a pre-emptive strike.
According to the Times of Israel, Intelligence Minister Yuval Steinitz told Israel Radio Thursday:
if we have no choice we have no choice
the military option is on the table. He reminded listeners that Israel had attacked Saddam Husseins Osirak nuclear reactor in 1981 without help from then-President Ronald Reagan (who actually condemned the attack).

Yes. It tends to come up in situations like this one developing.
I prefer the Jesus Option but the Israelis still disagree.
Just a thought I have had for a while that might be worth sharing with other like minded readers who might be in position to perhaps make some use of it, Israel in particular.
Over the years the development of MOABs have been increasing in size hoping to be able to destroy ever deeper and more fortified bunkers. With GPS being what it is today I do not understand why they haven’t gone a different route, what I would call the ‘Jackhammer” approach of having a string of super hardened deep penetrating GPS guided bombs very accurately hitting a target only seconds behind one another...followed by a MOAB whose effect would the be dramatically improved due to it’s now going off deep inside the pocket created by the slightly earlier Jackhammer bombs.
yawn...............
get on with it already.
The more I think about your post, the more I suspect Iran, in quick order, could well manipulate events that would simulate Israel taking the Samson Option, still blaming Israel for it all.
“.....There is no deal beneficial to the USA on the table...”
Or the entire Western world for that matter. And there NEVER WILL BE. When we finally get an American President in the White Hut, he has an issue here to address big time to clean this disastrous mess up.
I think Iran might use its first atomic bomb on Israel, and that would trigger immediate retaliation on Iran if not the full Samson Option.
