Brookfield Speaking before a conservative audience Wednesday, Gov. Scott Walker suggested he would not allow Wisconsin to set up a health care exchange if the U.S. Supreme Court strikes down a portion of Obamacare.
"We're going to push back," the likely Republican presidential candidate said of President Barack Obama's signature health care law.
"This president of the United States they've got to come up with a solution....They're going to try to put the pressure on us but we need to put the pressure right back on them."
Walker spoke at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts as part of the "Insight 2015" program put on by WTMJ-AM (620) host Charlie Sykes. The event will be broadcast from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday.....
Walker also discussed ethanol,..
In his March speech in Iowa, Walker said he wanted to phase out the fuel standard "eventually," but he talked about a more specific time frame Wednesday, saying he wanted to get rid of it in a "couple years."
"I'd like to see a whole series of regulations and mandates be phased out by the end of the first term of the next president," he said.

Thanks but “push back” won’t be enough.
What does push-back mean in Walkers educated language?
2) Rejecting a state-funded ObamaCare Exchange
While other Republican governors decided to use state taxpayer money to build health insurance exchanges for ObamaCare, Walker refused to use Wisconsin taxpayers money to build a state exchange that would have only duplicated the federal exchange the Obama Administration built. Some GOP governors thought they could spend state dollars and build exchanges that met their own standards, but in reality all exchanges had to comply with Obama Administration regulations.
According to an estimate by Bloomberg Government, by late 2014 the Obama Administration had spent $2.1 billion on the federal ObamaCare exchange and programs promoting enrollment in the exchange. As for the exchanges built with state taxpayer money, POLITICO found in 2014 that Maryland, Nevada, Oregon and Massachusetts had to rebuild or scrap part or all of their exchanges after collectively spending $474 million on health insurance exchanges that essentially duplicated what the federal government was already doing.
3) Rejecting ObamaCare Medicaid Expansion
Originally, ObamaCare mandated the expansion of Medicaid, a joint federal-state program funded mostly and regulated heavily by the federal government. But the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the expansion would be voluntary and states could choose whether or not to accept the federal expansion money. Walker rejected the Medicaid expansion. Initially, the expansion would have been paid for entirely with federal dollars, but over time the state would have had to start picking up the tab.
Walker didnt just reject the Medicaid expansion, however. He devised and implemented a plan that shifted approximately 77,000 people off of the states BadgerCare program and onto federally-subsidized ObamaCare approved plans. Then, he opened BadgerCare up for lower income individuals below the limit set for ObamaCare subsidized plans.
Other GOP governors accepted the Medicaid expansion money or offered no proactive policy alternative to their states.".... More
Walker has actual accomplishment and governing under his belt.
People are craving a bold, visionary leader with clear objectives.
Walker’s messaging has been horrendous lately.
People are craving a bold, visionary leader with clear objectives.
Agree. Push back?? Talk about painting with pastels. We the People are tired of *push back*....we want someone who will TAKE BACK this country.
What-a-wuss
For some, nothing will ever be enough - even though they fail to attempt fully grasp the truth, and rely on a cherry-picked statement or two as their "foundation of reason", they will insist that they had no choice but to allow another Obama to inhabit the WH. Obama blamed Bush for everything and those who aid and abet the Left blame the GOPe - failing to see the irony as they deride Obama's blame game.
“People are craving a bold, visionary leader with clear objectives.”
I thought you were a Walker guy?
Sounds like you are promoting Cruz here ;)

That’s the plan of the left actually. Tell us we can’t have the truly conservative candidate, so have to have the wish-washy one who is ‘electable’. But they aren’t electable because the base has no passion for quislings and many stay home, while independents aren’t energized by him either.
And then the Dem wins. Haven’t we learned from this repeatedly?
That’s fine.
He’s not a leader, and a leader is what I am looking for and have found.
The man standing by himself against every lunatic in this country is a leader.
Walker is accomplished, and has governed. I like him a lot.
But the Walker bots back handed and infantile swipes at other candidates with this governor thing is just offputting and counter productive.
And oh, by the way, Walker’s done ZERO governing and has ZERO accomplishments with the Federal government and the congress.....just sayin.....Madison AIN’T DC, not even close.
I have not seen these “swipes.”
It’s amazing, you come on Walker threads and make a nice comment and then attack his supporters just to get a rise out of them.
I do not seek out other candidate threads to do what you do.
It has been overwhelmingly the other way around.
You do your candidate a disservice with this tone and style.
You’re smarter than that. Rush, Levin, others, have called out these governors and their supporters for these swipes. They are very thinly veiled......
And to prove it, you assume everyone has A CANDIDATE - I have two I like now, with a preference for one over the other. You are the one who’s a single candidate bot.
“Thinly veiled,” I guess you’d know. That term’s become a substitute for actual “meat on the bone” when someone can’t find something to back up their dig.
I don’t seek you out and throw sharp elbows.
That seems to have become your calling card.
And the nice Alinsky shot at me is really something.

And these clowns who are encouraging Walker to run in the primary, when Walker/Cruz supporters have to choose between the two, WHAT is that going to benefit? The GOP establishment, that's what. So when in 2016 "we" end up nominating a moderate or leftist Republican again and another Obama ends up inhabiting the White House -- will these folks who insist on Walker competing with Cruz take the blame?
Not likely! But they will deserve it.
Look CRUZ is the guy, and he has BEEN FIRST to declare his intentions to run for president. ANYBODY who is running against him, and that includes Walker, is, since Cruz is officially in the race, NOW an opponent and a spoiler. Walker can ONLY take votes away from Cruz. It is stupid to encourage him now to get into the primary. If Walker truly had the best interests of America in mind, he would publicly declare that he'll save his run for 2020 or 2024, and encourage all his supporters to throw their support behind Cruz.
