A bodacious announcement, monumental follow-up speeches and relentless campaigning appear to have paid off for Sen. Ted Cruz. Hes got big momentum, according to Tom Jensen, director of Public Policy Polling, which gauged the outcome of the Texas Republicans news announcement last week that he would run for president. His support has increased from 5 percent to 16 percent in just over a month, enough to make him one of three candidates in the top tier of GOP contenders, along with Scott Walker and Jeb Bush, the pollster says. The Wisconsin governor has garnered 20 percent, Mr. Bush 17 percent.

Love it. Apopletic Popped Pimple Progressives!
If you LEAD, they will come. Cruz is an actual leader, willing to take a stand, and stick to it. Willing to take on opponents by rejecting their premises and using their own lexicon against them. It is just so invigorating to watch.
Cruz does.
Walker is learning quickly, and may well get immigration and Islam before it's over with.

No Walker for me, I can’t trust him...he hides from media...flip flops...and the “union busting” thing while no one can take away from him that, its about the only thing he has. I’d take a Jindal over a Walker.
Yes Cruz for president and Jindal or West for VP
agrd
How about Cruz for Prez and Sessions for Vice?
“CRUZ/WALKER, Clean Sweep, every STATE!”
A fantastic ticket, to be sure. All they would need to do is win every state Romney won plus FL, NC,NM and NV.
That works also. I love Sessions and he is solid.
NC went to Romney, and you would need a few more EVs anyway.
There's a whole reality thing going on there. Walker will certainly get more votes is my guess, and he does learn.
Besides, it's too early for compromise.
Now that we have a real conservative candidate, Cruz, I have someone to be for. And I'll trust Cruz. Hell, I've sent him money a few times, and I NEVER do that for politicians.
Except Cruz.

We conservatives already lost the culture war..(sorry but it's true)
Liberals are the establishment now and WE are the revolutionaries! and you don't win a revolution playing defense.
We conservatives need to start ATTACKING, relentlessly, and from every conceivable angle at every level of society and government.
Cruz has moved the conversation back in the right direction regardless of whatever he does from here on out.
I'm a conservative, not a Republican.
This is really the first time since I've been on FR that I've come out for a politician like this. 15 years of nobody to vote FOR.

It’s been 31 years since the GOPe has had a candidate for president that I could vote FOR.
I NEVER come out this early for a politician, and if I'm doing it, lots of conservatives may well be. I'm not that unique.
Either way, the conversation has changed. I darn sure haven't advocated for any other politician in a clean primary so far.

Pretty much. Basically, there is no other candidate as far as I am concerned. I don’t even have to wait for the debates, etc. Cruz is simply by far the best candidate for president, not just for 2016, he is the best candidate for president either party has had for decades. It’s like God decided to give me my dream candidate.
Anyone who hates Cruz or who is told he is supposed to hate Cruz and follows orders like a sheep needs to understand that his lifestyle will be improved having a President who believes in the constitution and the rights of individuals.
It’s what we all need. Even sheeplike unquestioning liberal slaves.
I was going to recommend Cruz/West or Cruz/Fiorina. I’m not all that sure about Fiorina’s conservative qualities, but she sure does like to bitch-slap the Hildabeast. Might really help if the dimmanazi candidate is clinton, but whoever it is, having a female VP will be beneficial.
