Not that I like Menendez, but something is really fishy here. He was about the only Dem that spoke out against the Cuba BS and now he’s being railroaded!
To: digger48
Menendez may have the goods on Bill Clinton and all those trips down to the Caribbean. Clinton's name was mentioned in the scandal involving Prince Andrew of the UK.
Could be his out of jail ticket.

zOver 2 years ago I was on a screed about Pick-ups in the Senate, Lautenberg, Menendez on corruption, and one other that escapes me. These could have been 3 pickups. What did Mitch do?
NothingWatch Bobby Bacala fill the seat with a Democrat instead of Steve Forbes who if my memory is correct, resides in NJ.

The charges had long been expected and Mr. Menendez, a 61-year-old Democrat of New Jersey, has promised to fight them. He has offered no indication that he plans to step down or relinquish any power while he goes through that process. Why should he? Everyone knows that Democrats are crooks.
It's not like the lame duck ethics complaint by Chris Bell (D-Texas) that was used to take out Tom DeLay.

And DOJ announced they will not be prosecuting Lois Lerner today. Another fine American day under the Ostinko administration.
With ANY other democrap elected official, these things would never even be looked at askance. Welcome to the teeth of your Party of Corruption, Senator Menendez. You might want to check your neck for bite marks.

She was also charged with conspiracy, fraud, and making false statements on government documents, the Justice Department said.
Maybe they got him confused with Lois Lerner?
Odd how there are no charges in her case...

If Menendez was a Republican, the very first line of the article would read “Republican Senator Robert Menendez indicted on corruption charges.”
Of course the NY Slimes waits a few lines to throw in Democrat.

In other words, Obama had to destroy a perfectly good Democratic Senator, Bob Menendez from a major state, in order to put fear into the hearts of other Democrats who also might be considering defying the president by not ratifying the new April Fools treaty with Iran.
The treaty must be such an outrageous abomination that it can’t be justified from any reasonable standpoint and therefore must be forced Chicago-style on the Senate Democrats or it will lose.
To: digger48
Obama will pardon him. No worries.

The Obama crowd have been after Menendez ever since 2008 , when he refused to knuckle under and swear fealty to Obama.
They previously tried to get him on sexual harassment, and statutory rape, and now this?
Holder’s DOJ has turned into a Democrap Star Chamber.
Obama is a fascist , and if he could, I am sure he would disappear Menendez, just like he did with Gadaffi and other of his political enemies.
