"when did we lose the premise that homosexual behavior is a deviant lifestyle?"

Hollywood and the TV networks softening resistance to the idea of the acts. Over 20 years ago, I recall the slogan, "It's the 90's" and show's like Seinfeld, Murphy Brown, etc mention so and so is "gay" and "not that there's anything wrong with that."

Movies like Mrs. Doubtfire, and as far back as "Tootsie" with Dustin Hoffman with cross dressing, or even Clinger in "Mash."It's been a slow, grinding societal/cultural decay.

It's been a slow, grinding societal/cultural decay.

Society as a whole has accepted this change; but we don't. What needs to be done is to pronounce continuously that the sexual norm is sexuality under the bond of a monogamous heterosexual marriage between one man and one woman for life. Anything outside that is deviation from this norm.

It is very obvious why this should be, so it should be easy for people like us to explain why, in a gracious manner to those who may accept it. For those that would not, use it as a principle so any lurkers seeing the debate may see and possibly come to know why it is true.
