President Barack Obama on Wednesday created the first sanctions program that would allow the U.S. to penalize individuals and entities overseas who engage in malicious cyberattacks and cyber spying.

"Cyber threats pose one of the most serious economic and national security challenges to the United States," Obama said in a statement after signing an executive order creating the sanctions regime.

The order gives the U.S. the authority to sanction individuals, though no specific penalties were announced. Obama said the sanctions would apply to those engaged in malicious cyber activity that aims to harm critical infrastructure, damage computer systems, and steal trade secrets or sensitive information.

Is this an Executive Order or a Law.
ABC always refers to it as an “Order” skirting the issue of obama acting like a king. The fact that ABC does not inform the public if obama signed this into Law or are the actions of a power drunk nut job; are just another example of why the term “News” should not be associated with ABC.

The headline over @ reagancoalition.com

Obama Declares National Emergency To Strip Americans Of Constitutional Rights

http://reagancoalition.com/articles/2015/obama-declares-national-emergency-to-strip-americans-of-constitutional-rights.html

Shows the EO contains:
resident of the United States of America, find that the increasing prevalence and severity of malicious cyber-enabled activities originating from, or directed by persons located, in whole or in substantial part, outside the United States constitute an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States. I hereby declare a national emergency to deal with this threat.

and further asks the question:
The press hasn’t reported on this “National Emergency.” Did it slip under the radar? Or are they trusting our “Constitutional-Law-Professor-In-Chief”?

I would also ask, what other “National Emergencies” are in our short term future before this hass@ is finished?
