Can you tell me why others would have an inferiority complex about Apple devices? Other than price... Why would those that own them have a superiority complex?

You shouldn't assume "superiority complex" just because a detractor genuinely has an inferiority complex. That's like assuming a mugger and the mugged both had a hand in causing the mugging.

The reason, as I stated earlier, is because Apple users are so pleased with their purchases. Apples simply work. No more, no less. Anyone who has had to wrestle with Windows knows the myriad of "surprises" that come along with that OS. Apple has no such surprises.

Let me give you a quick anecdote on a Microsoft product.

I recently bought an Xbox 1. When I went to install the first game, I had no idea it would take more than an hour to begin playing the game, and it gave me no idea how long the installation would take.

Furthermore, it only gave me a percentage rather than a time to complete installation. When the installation stalled at 4%, was that an error occurring thus requiring intervention by me, or was that simply the product not updating the time remaining? As it turns out it was just not updating in a way that communicates the installation was proceeding normally.

Apple would never set up an installation that way.

Sorry, but anecdotes about one system means nothing if not taken in context of many years. You sir are trying too hard.

There are obvious problems with Apple OS (search the internet) as there are with Windows, Unix, or any other OS. You seem to think that software only works if called Apple but software is problematic in all OS’s. As a programmer, I can guarantee that every piece of software written has problems (especially in the future as things progress). It is a sign of progress and that does include Apple software!

To think different is both silly and ignorant of future problems. As we progress in ability and efforts to solve problems, the possibly of bugs multiply! Law of programming and it is not OS specific.

You need to get off a specific OS wagon and get with the program (literally)...

You sir, refuse to see the forrest for the trees.

And calling my perspective silly and/or ignorant as well as making my attempt to be helpful into “trying too hard” simply reinforces my belief that happiness is resented by those who aren’t.

You sir lack the ability to see the obvious but it seems that is your forte.

And you apparently don’t know the meaning of the word “obvious.”

Heh! When in doubt, attack using the dictionary! That’s okay though, those in the wrong often do that! I never started out trying to offend you but was trying to show the error of your beliefs. As a programmer, all programs have bugs you know!

Really, why do you protest so much about Apple if not a solid convert? Why defend them at such length? You do seem do be a cultist at the high end of the scale - not what I would have expected here on FreeRepublic!

Anyway, stop the nasty comments and go to bed!

I’ll never forget how these self righteous schmucks protested the Republican political convention in 2004. I watched on c-span as 40,000 demonstrators marched in protest of the Republican convention being held in New York City—OH! the horror!. But these pompous hypocrites did not bother to put 40,000 people on the street to protest the outrage done to Americans on September 11.

Good point.

And they always remove the homeless people when they hold their Democrat National Conventions.

Progressives/Liberals thrive on lies and deceit. The truth is their enemy.
