The GOP needs to get a little more savvy about how they title these types of laws. If there's two things that liberals hate it's religion and freedom, so putting both those words in one law sends up giant red flags to the left.

What this law really does is prevents left-wing activists from using the courts to force reasonable people into accepting their deviant practices. But the bakers and photographers and other wedding business owners are not trying to outlaw gay activity, they are simply conscientious objectors. And they don't want their conscience to be bullied by gay activists.

Therefore, I would have called this law the Conscientious-Objector Anti-Bullying Law.

Those are code words that the left loves when it applies to themselves, it's time to ask for the same tolerance.

In many particulars, you are right. Yet in a situation, such as this, I would suggest, it is very well to bait the Leftist fanatics into committing themselves. We need to find the formula to re-awake the reasoning process in the public; and the more clearly the Tim Cooks demonstrate their total fanaticism; their total disdain for any opinion other than their own; the better chance that we will have to break people out of the conditioned reflex mentality that the Left has gradually instilled in so many.

If we walk on eggs to avoid the controversy, we will never reverse the now "politically correct" conditioning that is destroying Western Culture.
