Apple CEO Tim Cook on Indiana Bill: 'There's something very dangerous happening' in America
Business Inisder via Washington Post ^ | 03/29/2015 | Tim Cook

Posted on 03/30/2015 8:07:42 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

There's something very dangerous happening in states across the country.

A wave of legislation, introduced in more than two dozen states, would allow people to discriminate against their neighbors. Some, such as the bill enacted in Indiana last week that drew a national outcry and one passed in Arkansas, say individuals can cite their personal religious beliefs to refuse service to a customer or resist a state nondiscrimination law.

Others are more transparent in their effort to discriminate. Legislation being considered in Texas would strip the salaries and pensions of clerks who issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples — even if the Supreme Court strikes down Texas' marriage ban later this year. In total, there are nearly 100 bills designed to enshrine discrimination in state law.

These bills rationalize injustice by pretending to defend something many of us hold dear. They go against the very principles our nation was founded on, and they have the potential to undo decades of progress toward greater equality.

America's business community recognized a long time ago that discrimination, in all its forms, is bad for business. At Apple, we are in business to empower and enrich our customers' lives. We strive to do business in a way that is just and fair.

That's why, on behalf of Apple, I'm standing up to oppose this new wave of legislation — wherever it emerges. I'm writing in the hopes that many more will join this movement. From North Carolina to Nevada, these bills under consideration truly will hurt jobs, growth and the economic vibrancy of parts of the country where a 21st-century economy was once welcomed with open arms.

Growing up I remember seeing signs in various business stating “we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone”.

This is getting dangerous.

Once again the left is seeking to redefine facts to their own liking.

What passed in Indiana clearly is not about discrimination, yet the left is desperately seeking to make this a bumper sticker analysis to gin up the Marxist base.

This same narrative adjustment/deception occurred with St. Skittles, the Gentle Giant in Ferguson, and the kid who was killed in Madison WI who, it turns out was high on mushrooms.

That is the deliberate deception by the left to change the narrative into something that it is not in order to scare up the local rent-a-mob.

I miss the days when you could just focus on providing the best product possible to paying customers, without everything having to be a statement about sexual orientation. When did EVERYTHING become everyone else’s business, to the point that everyone is expected to offer judgment (and buddy, you had better believe, it had better be the RIGHT judgment!)

What is really dangerous is the pandering to a portion of the population that represents less than 2% of the total at the expense of the 98%.

Indeed. Mr. Cooks LGBTXYZ radical activist friends are forcing small businesses in America to violate their religious liberty. That’s not only dangerous, it’s vulgar.

In a free county, that is the way private property rights are supposed to work. The owner has the right of the use and disposal of his own private property as he desires.Since private property rights are natural rights that are God-given, they trump man made claims of inequality and discrimination.

The laws do not force anyone to do anything. That is freedom. Currently Apple and our military, etc. discriminates against Christians and others who don’t care to celebrate nor get involved with the anal sex lifestyle and abortion.

Corporate CEO’s have become little petty dictators.

Indeed, the dangerous thing is ignorant twits who are so appallingly out of balance in their perceptions that Indiana joining the majority, reinforcing the religious liberties of its People, is cause for concern while threat of world war is not.

Apple CEO Tim Cook on Indiana Bill: 'There's something very dangerous happening' in America

Yes, I agree. Homosexuals and their allies are getting into power and trying to force their sickness down the throats of normal people.

But this is just what they do.

Genisis 19:4

But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:

5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.

Judges 19:22

Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him.

23 And the man, the master of the house, went out unto them, and said unto them, Nay, my brethren, nay, I pray you, do not so wickedly; seeing that this man is come into mine house, do not this folly.

Been going on for thousands of years.

There is indeed something very dangerous happening in America; and, unfortunately. Tim Cook appears to epitomize it.

Tim Cook is an intelligent business executive. He undoubtedly has a very high IQ; but so did Lenin & Hitler, and so did the absolutely brutal men that they had enforcing their compulsion for uniformity of thought--degenerate savages such as Trotsky & Himmler.

The War on traditional Western values is clearly accelerating. The idea of even trying to force people into accepting the culture of Sodom & Gomorrah in America, would have been unthinkable in any other age.

If Tim Cook had a shred of decency, he would be grateful that the business community is willing to accept him as a respected CEO--despite his idiosyncrasies. That he wants to force everyone to accept those idiosyncrasies, demonstrates a fanaticism that should give even those on the far Left some reason to pause--although, sadly. it will not.

Heh, the only danger is to the homosexual activists who wish to play the gay card to selectively destroy Christian businesses. This law ruins their whole reason to exist. Without it, they might as well retreat back into their damn closets.

From the article I linked to above:

One of the issues here is that most news outlets cover Cook as part of their Apple story, and Cook’s sexuality is irrelevant to his role at Apple.

Apple shareholders might wish to consider JCPenny's demise and one of the reasons behind it.

Apple can shove it. If they hate Indiana so much, then let them stop selling Apple products there.

I think Indiana needs to start embargoing Apple products being used by their state governments. Apple products are very popular in the educational establishment. I would start re-writing specs to demand purchases go to the most competitive bidder, which is pretty much going to default to Microsoft.

I wish Linux (or something else) would start making sufficient inroads that we can tell all these "gay" promoters to go to H*ll.
