Police agencies in Broward County are assisting members of the U.S. Special Operations Forces who are undergoing urban warfare training..
The exercises began Monday, will last until March 27 and will be held at locations that the military will not disclose.
U.S. Special Operations is commanded out of Tampa and has staged such "routine drills" in cities throughout the country, a spokesman said.
The 200 military personnel are from the four branches: Air Force, Army, Marines and Navy.

I have yet to understand the significance of the Title,... Jade Helm....
This is making a big section of the public on edge and suspicious of the military and their intentions. If that’s part of their psy-ops, they are succeeding.
Flying those helicopters so low and close to high rises is not something these pilots would likely be doing in overseas operations. It just seems that likely that something will conveniently go wrong.
Well that is a perfect place to conduct such training.
I believe the names are assigned randomly by a computer to purposely give no clues as to mission.
If SpecOps wanted to recreate a Middle Eastern urban environment, they would have chosen Detroit.
It has that tone to it.!

After spending 30 years in and around the Spec Ops Community I have some idea as to how training and exercises are set up.
First there is a clearly stated goal.
Second there is environmental considerations. By this I don’t mean the public’s version of environmental concerns. When will the mission that the exercises supports go down? Where will it go down? What is the expected opposition - direct and indirect?
Once these basic answers are done then you start searching for an exercise area.
My first experience in this area was in 1978. The goal was to rescue passengers from a hijacked airliner somewhere in the Middle East. The time was at night. The location was at Indian Springs Auxiliary Airfield (now Creech AFB, NV). A small and very focused exercise.
In 1988 there was another excise that covered multiple areas in the Southeast. The objective areas and flight times to them matched OPERATION JUST CAUSE that was executed 12 months later.
Since then there have been other exercises - some of which matched real-world operations.
So what potential conflict will happen in a large industrial area involving large number of “brown” or “green” players?
It’s not 1978 any more. It’s 1984

Urban warfare training. For where? Don’t let them tell you Europe. European cities bear no resemblance to Ft. Lauderdale or Atlanta or Austin. And we sure know the Mideast does not look like America.
They are preparing for martial law. Likely the economy is going to collapse and they know its coming and are getting ready to face the wrath of the American public. I watched the one video from Lauderdale and it looks to me like they are practicing for swooping in and grabbing the dissenters and activists and whisking them away.
