I guess we can file the 1965 Immigration Act under the “traitor” category.

Not to mention "fratricide". I once came an article that said that Sirhan Sirhan would not have been able to get into the US save for the Teddy's "achievement".

Sirhan family came to US around 1956.

In 1965, an Arab walking the streets of any U.S. city was almost astonishing. It was like seeing a space alien.

There would not be any animosity though. The resurgence of Islam and Jihad in the Middle East was not known by us then.

Now it's a commonplace, and we are all afraid to say what's true: a rather significant fraction of them are here to kill us.

And garbage like The Swimmer would castigate you for saying that.
