Mandatory voting was how Hitler rose to power. His Obama Hitler youth would work the precincts and use invisible ink to mark the ballots so they could later determine who voted against the Nazis and then the SS would later find those ballots and dispense with the dissidents.

Since none of the citizens and dissidents were allowed to own guns, it made their job a lot easier.

It’s obviously satire. I find it hilarious, but sadly, the only way any of these layabouts would ever truly vote, but here’s the rub, if you actually did implement mandatory voting this way, you would get a bunch of “I don’t care” voters who will “accidentally” vote the wrong candidate in.

Anyone who wants to know how dictators can come to power, destroy a constitution, and destroy all dissent in just a matter of months needs to read Chapters 6 and 7 of The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich.

It is really really frightening and those who say it can’t happen here are deluding themselves. It can happen anywhere.
