Will made my point better than I did. They play that Goldwater card nearly as much as the left pulling the race card.
He is warning the GOPe to not even think about Cruz. You will only win 8 states if you do. We want to lose graciously and keep everyone in DC happy, happy, happy.
Okay, you know what?
I want to see that play out.
We know that for the past several decades, the GOP nominee has been a RINO, or close to being a RINO (Dubya), and in in the past 7 elections, or 28 years (!) we’ve lost 4 and won 3, and one of those BARELY.
So I’d like to see us run a real conservative, like oh, the 1984 race, just to prove either the Establishment is right (we can’t win more than 8 states with a conservative) or prove they are wrong, like in 1984, when Reagan won 525 Electoral votes to Mondale’s 13.
Because while that was a lot of years ago, we really don’t have to go back to 1964 to find out!
