As airstrikes and ground battles continued across Yemen on Saturday, defiant words were uttered by regional leaders at an Arab summit in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el Sheik.

Ousted Yemeni President Abdu Rabu Mansour Hadi said Saudi Arabia-led airstrikes must continue until Shiite Muslim Houthi militants, who drove him from power, agree to surrender. He branded the Houthis as “stooges of Iran” and directly blamed the Islamic Republic for creating chaos in Yemen and forcing him to flee.

I suspect the Saudis will find that air strikes alone will not defeat the Jihadists.

I don't know, but even if they do i doubt if they would use them. Mostly because I can't think of any instances in the past where the Saudi army deployed unsupported bu other ground troops, and in force.

So if they hide behind women and children, the Saudis don’t give a halalalalala about collateral damage. Bombs away!

supposedly, but I am not sure if they are going to do anything but posture. The ideal time to attack was Friday Morning or sometime this weekend, but that did not happen. It’s now Sunday afternoon over there and I doubt anything will happen today.

Saudi Arabia building up military near Yemen border: U.S. officials

Saudi Arabia is moving heavy military equipment including artillery to areas near its border with Yemen, U.S. officials said on Tuesday, raising the risk that the Middle East’s top oil power will be drawn into the worsening Yemeni conflict.

The buildup follows a southward advance by Iranian-backed Houthi Shi’ite militants who took control of the capital Sanaa in September and seized the central city of Taiz at the weekend as they move closer to the new southern base of U.S.-supported President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
