THE REAL REASON HARRY REID IS RETIRING [fear of prosecution by GOP president]
Breitbart ^ | March 28, 2015 | by MICHAEL PATRICK LEAHY

Posted on 03/28/2015 4:43:28 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) explains his shocking decision to not seek re-election and retire when his term ends in 2016 by telling the New York Times, “he was worried his race would consume campaign money that would be needed in other competitive states as Democrats try to regain control of the Senate.”

“I think it is unfair for me to be soaking up all the money to be re-elected with what we are doing in Maryland, in Pennsylvania, in Missouri, in Florida,” Reid told the Times.

Reid said neither his recent eye injury nor concern over his chances of winning played a factor in his decision.

But the real reason Reid is retiring may have nothing to do with any of these excuses and everything to do with his concerns that a possible Republican Presidential victory in 2016 would lead to the appointment of a Republican Attorney General in January 2017.

A Republican Attorney General would be almost certain to initiate a criminal investigation into Reid’s abuse of his political power in a brazen intervention in the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) issuance of EB-5 visas to investors in a Las Vegas casino and hotel that was represented by his son, Rory Reid, as was highlighted in a report released by the Inspector General of DHS last week.

“I think Harry Reid’s getting out of town ahead of the posse,” former U.S. Attorney Joe diGenova tells Breitbart News.

On Thursday, the non-profit group Cause of Action called on the Department of Justice (DOJ) to launch a criminal investigation of Reid. Citing the specific federal statutes that were violated, the group said Reid “participat[ed] in unlawful political activity, possible coercion and fraud related to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program.”

Yes, hound him to the ends of the earth and the end of his days. Filthy corrupt skunk comes into office with a modest income and leave with wealth beyond imagination for all of us.

Any Republican Attorney General that doesn’t run through DC like a crazy man with a meat cleaver, and fill caravans of prison buses with corrupt politicians, just isn’t worth his or her pay.

Harry Reid is just one of many crooks on both sides of the aisle that need to be taken down and brought to justice.

Shouldn’’t he be suing the exercise machine manufacturer. Sounds like a dangerous machine if it puts a beatdown like that on you.

Pray America is waking

I don’t have links. Just there was a lot of speculation here at the time. SERIOUSLY, how can anyone believe he got a big shiner and broken ribs from stretching with those exerciser bands??? Really?? The guy got beat up. He’s easy to hate and he lives in the city of mafiosos, Las Vegas. Easy to believe he crossed the wrong guy. He looked and his injuries sounded like BEAT UP.

The real reason is because Dingy got a visit from the Las Vegas mob which somehow he got sideways with and the message was retire.

With all due respect to everyone here and Breitbart, who could possibly think the Republicans are ever going to anything? Please give me an example in history when republicans have gone after dems when they win elections??? No offense, but it’s just not going to happen. The only reason dingy is leaving is because his “exercise machine” sent him a very clear message.

You said it all

There’s so much corruption and so many criminals in the democrat party that it’s just mind blowing. That’s what happens when the idiot Republicans and law enforcement types just look the other way. It’s out of control. The truth is never told about anything coming out of a democrat(or Republican’s) mouth.

I keep saying this. The number one duty of the next Republican President should be prosecuting the Democrat Corruption of this current government.

I dare say that if you pull on any thread, it will lead to one massive web of fraud and corruption with Barack Obama in the middle of it.

But yeah, Harry Reid needs to be very afraid of the next administration's Attorney General.

How about the double standard Fourth Estate? Do they get a pass?

If it were up to me, I would make the current press live in terror of the thought that the new administration is working hard to put them in Prison. For what they did in covering up this snot bag that they call a President, they need to be serving time.

There needs to be consequences to the press for tampering with elections by holding back negative information about Democrat candidates.

Isn;t it interesting that there has not been one mention of the maker and model of the exact machine that caused Searchlight Harry’s injuries?

Nor a demand for the government to investigate the same to eliminate the possibility of injuries to others?

Or the lawsuit Harry Reid himself would surely have filed against the manufacturer, after all, he's all about that cash. Why would he turn down a sure claim, if the claim is true?

I have a feeling that if we ever get another republican attorney general, he’s going to have his hands full cleaning up.
