A police officer decorated for his role in the Boston Marathon bombing remains in critical condition in a medically-induced coma after he was shot in the face during a traffic stop, the city's police commissioner said today.

Boston Police Commissioner William Evans called the shooting of officer John Moynihan on Friday night "unprovoked." He and five other officers had pulled over a driver in Roxbury, Massachusetts, when the driver began firing at the officers, according to police.

It was not "unprovoked."

It was provoked by the lies Obola and Holder told about Sanford and Ferguson.

Your wish is granted. From the article:

The officers later shot the driver, who died on scene, police said. Evans identified him as 41-year-old Angelo West, adding that he had a violent criminal past.

The 41-year-old suspect, identified as Angelo West, was killed in the shooting on Humboldt Avenue after police returned fire. Boston Police and the Suffolk District Attorney’s Office have launched a thorough investigation and will determine if police were justified in the shooting death.

FB:

Angelo West’s previous brush with the law is described in this Boston Herald article from 2001:
Dateline: Boston, Massachusetts - 7/24/2001
Two Boston cops who know the pain of losing relatives to shootings in the line of duty narrowly avoided taking a bullet themselves yesterday from a Theater District gunman who fired a round before the officers and two state troopers subdued him.
Officer William Griffiths, 46, said he was on routine bicycle patrol about 2:55 a.m. when he saw a state trooper grappling with a drug suspect on Stuart Street and went to help.
``The suspect hit me in the chest and then he pulled us all together and down to the ground,’’ said Griffiths, whose brother, Sherman, died in a Dorchester drug bust in 1988. As Griffiths and Trooper Kevin Murray, 33, wrestled with the muscular suspect and tried to handcuff him, Griffiths saw him reach for something around his waist.
``Seconds later, we heard a gunshot, and all I can see is the gun right next to my head,’’ he said.
The gunshot missed both officers and hit a window moulding at Bennigan’s restaurant. Authorities said the gunman, Angelo West, 27, of Roxbury, tried to fire the weapon again, but it jammed.

West was found guilty on several charges including assault with a dangerous weapon.

West had several other gun charges in his record. Crying women declined to comment at an address listed to West. A man who gave his name only as Jamar and said he was a friend of West described him as “levelheaded, cool, calm, and collected.”

Jamar said West was a new father and spent a lot of time with his infant son. Jamar said he was “devastated” by news of the shooting.

And we have folks who split hairs defending some perps who resist arrest.

Just a few days ago, a 21 yr. old Wisconsin State Trooper was gunned down by a bank robber who had previously killed that same morning. The tropper although mortally wounded returned fire. The bank robber was killed. Both were white. How many of you even heard about this tragic event. The young tropper had recently graduated from the Wis. State Patrol Academy and was on his FIRST ‘go it alone’ tour. Where is the outrage, the headlines and the protestors?

He was invited to the White House with 49 other police officers. He even was in a Obama photo shoot.
