A judge in Washington state on Friday fined a florist $1,000 after she refused to sell flower arrangements for a gay couple's wedding, officials said.
Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson, who along with the couple - Robert Ingersoll and Curt Freed - sued florist Barronelle Stutzman in 2013, applauded the ruling in a statement.

We still have a first amendment, right? Anyone ever heard of that?
” Stutzman maintained that her Christian beliefs prevented her from selling flowers for the wedding, citing “(her) relationship with Jesus Christ,” according to court documents.
Last month, Benton County Superior Court Judge Alexander Ekstrom ruled in a 60-page opinion that Stutzman violated the state’s Consumer Protection Act by refusing to service the wedding.”
Freedom FROM religion.
Consumer Protection Act?
Ha Ha Ha.. that’s a good one..
60 pages?
That tells me the judge had to convince himself...
Robert Ingersoll.
Any relation to “the Great Agnostic?”
We need a new law.
” We reserve the right to refuse service to Rump Rangers”
Suggestion: a fund to pay the fine for this woman.
I think that the best thing that can happen for the Christian Church is to come under fire from the Homosexuals, lose the tax status and go underground. Why you may ask? Because then the Church becomes more real than ever, when you are threatened with losing everything, to be tried and tested for your faith. Jesus said unless you are will to lose everything in this world and follow Him, you are not worthy. We must be willing to lose everything and to follow Him.
So this is happening here in the US so we can have the opportunity to be tested and proven faithful.
Was this florist, like the bakery in Eugene, Oregon, purposefully singled out by homosexuals BECAUSE of Christian beliefs?
If that is true, and there were other florists who could have taken care of the men’s request, then this florist may have a court case. It seems that homosexuals are purposefully targeting Christians for their religious beliefs, which is a violation of the First Amendment.
How real is the Christian Church in Red China?
And this is why Indiana passes religious freedom laws.
If I were this woman, I wouldn’t pay the fine. I’d go to jail first.
An America that is allowing this to happen is an America I’d gladly see die.
10 to 1 they chose this florist because they KNEW they would be refused, then could whine cry fall down and get scratched up to show how much in anguish they were.
Iran, Russia, Red China, the European Union et al would be happy with no USA too. The point is to not allow it to happen.

I tried to send her $20 after I read about this but she declined the money. So I tried to buy something (with no intention of allowing delivery but again she wouldn’t hear of it.
She’s an honorable lady who is caught between her adherence to her conscience and the mindless, thoughtless machinations of governmental overreach.

Pay the fine in condoms.
I know this idea of mine side steps the principle at stake; but, how about taking the order, then quoting a price of $5,000,000?
The children of light are supposed to be as wise as serpents and harmless as doves.
I really don’t get this - I’m a Christian and if I was a business owner and my business philosophy was not to serve sinners - well, I think I’d find myself broke in short order...
Hell, I couldn’t even serve myself...
I don’t like sin - or homosexuality or gay marriage even - but this seems absurd and these people are being setup for for this crap..
If it was me and I felt that strongly about this one particular sin - then I’d either say, sorry I’m booked for the rest of the year or I would find a way to make Christ known through my service... If they didn’t like that they could fire me - with some of the down payment kept of course.
These people are falling on their own swords in my opinion and not really helping themselves - I think a clever pill is in order...
my 2 pennies....
I just checked out her website and am somewhat amused...
there is no listing for ‘wedding flowers.’
