How can they possibly play the Final Four without the assurance that they can violate the religious freedom of Christian bakers and florists in Indiana?
With the Final Four a week away from shining a spotlight on Indianapolis, NCAA President Mark Emmert said Thursday that the governing body for college sports is concerned about an Indiana law that could allow businesses to discriminate against gay people.
The law would prohibit state and local laws that substantially burden the ability of people including businesses and associations to follow their religious beliefs.
The NCAA offices are located in Indianapolis, and Emmert said the organization was concerned about how it might impact student athletes and employees. His terse statement also suggested the NCAA might consider moving future events out of Indianapolis.
We will work diligently to assure student-athletes competing in, and visitors attending, next weeks Mens Final Four in Indianapolis are not impacted negatively by this bill, Emmert said, hours after Gov. Mark Pence signed the measure into law. Moving forward, we intend to closely examine the implications of this bill and how it might affect future events as well as our workforce.
Maybe Christians ought to do likewise when it comes to putting money in their pockets.
Just go to the bakery and order a plain wedding cake. Put your own decorations on the damn thing. I’ve heard gays are good at that sort of thing.
Who taught you History? You apparently aren’t aware that Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation only freed the slaves in the South. Slaves in the North were not freed, and Mrs. Grant had her two slaves until well after the war.
Is there really this great concern that visitors to Indiana for the final.four, who just happen to be getting married during the final four, won’t be able to get a wedding cake??? This is really a huge cause for concern at the NCAA???

“You can’t show depictions of Mohammed!”
“You must sell depictions of gay dudes getting married!”
I really like this tweet!!
“This #BoycottIndiana thing is super helpful. Tired of progressives destroying your state? Just affirm the Bill of Rights and they’ll leave!”
With all of their rapists. women beaters, thieves and drug addicts, the NCAA should clean its own house before worrrying about others
So when did Governor Pence change his first name?
The govt led gay marriage agenda is an attack on christianity by design. Most gays dont care about being married.
an Indiana law that could allow businesses to discriminate against gay people.
There is no class of people on earth as “gay” They are homosexuals. For centuries homosexual activity was in most of the world a crime. Homosexuality was listed as a mental disorder. Forever homosexuality has been and will always be a sin. To force those that believe Gods Word to participate and promote a sin is a crime and our citizens need to be protetced from it...
It’s an attack on conservatives. There are lots of churches that support same-sex marriage.
And African-American Studies programs.
Those churches aren’t Christian.
"We hold these Truths to be self evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness."
Quotation comes from The United States Declaration of Independence.
Open a bakery? That's hard work. It's much easier to 'cash in' by suing Christians.
I’m trying to find a local Halal market to order some bacon for me...
The thirteenth amendment (wiping out slavery) to the US Constitution was passed on 6 December 1865.

I’ve been seeing posts from liberal friends (yes, I still have some - don’t lecture me! LOL!) that this new Indiana law will allow things like an EMT worker or a doctor to refuse to assist or transport a LGBT person in a medical crisis. Now, this seems very bogus to me, but OTOH it occurred to me that perhaps the law is so badly written (that does happen) that it would allow all kinds of nonsense like that, when of course it’s meant to cover things such as wedding cake bakers, etc. Anyway, has anyone seen a factual analysis of this law and what it actually will/will not protect? Appreciate any information! Thanks!
Why don’t Gay Basketballers pool their money and start their own Bakery ,they would make a ton of money ,LOL
Impacted negatively... next week... how?
Give new meaning to the sportscasters favorite saw: “they’re playing to a packed house tonight”
