I realize this and it is a tragic and complex case, but that DOES NOT excuse how the school system chose to handle it.

The overriding issue here is that the school system has made it clear that if ANY person undergoes gender reassignment the school system won't notify the parents.

Let's say that a male teacher "decides" he's a woman and puts on a dress, should he be allowed in the girl's locker room?
