I’m concerned that some doctor found him unfit for work and didn’t call the airlines. That’s very unusual to take someone off work. It not enough to write a note, in this case you should have called the airlines.
How can you fault Lufthanza when the man misleads them, and a doctor doesn’t call you about his patient the pilot.
Very very odd.
The only lead that seems plausible is the one about the girlfriend. I read where she’s Muslim, but in only one source.
The whole thing is horrific.
ONe can say without a doubt, that since the age of Obama the world has seen first hand atrocities of man against man not seen for hundreds if not thousands of years. Leading from behind is what cowards and dangerous ingnorants do. The world is a safer place when free men and women take the initiative to protect people who can’t protect themselves, and who assert their freedoms through strength.
Once we left Iraq, there were no good options for us to re-enter. Better now for us to stay out and let things play out. Let’s the Arabs fight.

Au contraire, Moslems have been jihadi-ing, torturing and butchering millions, for 1400 years. It’s just that decent countries didn’t support and cover up for them before now.
I think that might be overstating things, just a bit. The history of the 20th century was pretty much one long string of terrible atrocities of man against man.....
Depending on what the doctor feared, maybe he should have done a Snowden with the airlines. Wouldn't have had to go public. I do respect privacy though. There's no such thing for us now anyway.
That CO theater shooter might have been stopped before he could carry out his plan if the school psychiatrist or psychologist would have acted more aggressively.
I read the gf was Muslim, too, so we must have read the same source.
Little by little, more details will trickle out and let's hope we can separate the truth from those who would exploit the tragedy with fabrications and exaggerations.
I read somewhere 39 Turkish. That is wrong. It was mostly Germans and Spanish with approx 2 each from more than 10 countries according to a CNN article I pulled up, "what we know so far" concerning passengers.
