OK. Let’s experiment with wealth redistribution. Let’s start with the entertainment industry, wealthy politicians, and athletes - and see how well that goes over.

eighth amendment:
“Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.”

we’ve already got 40% fed tax, plus 6.1% for 0bamacare on top of 15% for social security and match.

61% ... is that excessive?

3% was enough for the founders to grab muskets and start shooting redcoats. what do you think they’d say about 61%?

Doesn’t Bill know that you are never supposed to state the real purpose behind the global warming lies?

He Nye, there will be no Communist redistribution. The American people are waking up to the global warming scam. Go live somewhere else for your appetite for redistribution. I am sure you will find lots to hate about that country.

At some point in the past, busy bodies decided it was their right to make others lives more miserable so that they can have their way and make their little lives seem important. After years of abuse at their hands I think knuckle sandwiches in response to calls for further abuse are in order.

Wealth has been massively redistributed for a long time now — some dribbling down to the lowest levels but most of it drifting to the very elite 1% at the top.

“It’s not just to be mean, it’s to redistribute wealth,” Nye said.

But being mean is the fun of it, isn't it, Bill?

Full disclosure.

I happen to be a "science guy", with an advanced degree, even.

Mister (and I do mean "mister") Nye is an embarrassment to all persons of science for whom the scientific method is (or should be) THE guiding principle. The scientific method has several definitions, all fairly similar, but one might consider the way I learned it. It's been many decades, but I suspect that my recall is pretty close:

Observations lead to questions, questions lead to hypotheses, hypotheses lead to experiments to validate, presentation of results, inviting feedback from (gasp) doubters, and maintaining willingness to re-examine conclusion as new information becomes available.

Mister Nye abandons the scientific method, as "global warming/climate change" isn't even an observation, it's a computer model (and has already been sufficiently wrong for honest experts to question model validity.

Looks like Bill has decided to cash in on the enviro-kook movement, just like Gore. My memory tells me that Nye was off everyone’s radar for years. I don’t remember what brought him back, but I think he’s capitalizing on his renewed fame.

Bill Nye is a practitioner of what C.S. Lewis referred to as “scientism,” not science. In other words, he uses a buzzword, “science,” to dishonestly sell a political movement, socialism. There is no actual science involved, just an unproven assertion that his political goal is somehow supported by science. It is not.

And yet critics are accused of being paid off by big oil. Bill Nye is paid off by the idea of Big Government.

I wonder if Bill Nye, the worthless commie piece of crap guy, redistributed the $300,000 - $400,000 he received from his so-called dance moves on “Dancing With the Stars?”

First let’s take all of Bill Nye’s wealth and redistribute it. Then let’s ask him how that’s working for him.
