RE: The problem is who defines Christian, and how.
And who calls themself one.

The Apostle John ( the disciple Jesus loved ) wrote:
3 We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. 4 Whoever says, I know him, but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. 5 But if anyone obeys his word, love for God[a] is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: 6 Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did. ( 1 John 2:3-5, NIV ).
If John’s epistle means squat, then anyone can call himself Christian.

How so?
He says only those that keep the commandments know him. Only those that walk as he walked.
That is a very exclusive group, that excludes most that call themselves “Christian.”

and the disciples were first called Christians at Antioch.” (Acts 11:23-26).
My point is that non-believers define Christian, using their requirements (tolerate everyone, give all to the poor, social justice, etc.) and want to hold me to that standard.
