How do you figure that?

Forfeiture of all pay and allowances, with his time in “captivity” being considered time lost, means he gets nothing.

You know, he walked off that base. He deserves to be held responsible for it. So shoot him. But I guarantee you he regretted it every day of the five years he was in captivity. So don't shoot him. TYou know, he made an enormous mistake. He should be accountable for it. Make up yer dang mind. Shoot him.

A thief who lands in a pigsty while fleeing arrest does not have his time in the mud count against his sentence. Whether Bergdahl regretted his time in a Taliban camp is irrelevant. Nor is it obvious that he even did.

NO, dumb bitch. Not by any stretch of the imagination, which is what needs to happen to him at the end of a rope. A firing squad is for soldiers, hanging is for criminals.

No, he should be tried for treason. How do we know what went on in those years? Was he really a captive? Others died due to that nut.

The Taliban has no interest in holding onto prisoners of war, especially for an extended period of time. They must have found him useful, otherwise he would have been killed within a few days of his capture.

He wouldn’t have been “captured” had he not deserted his post.

– this is what some say – is that not punishment enough?"

Somsay and his cousin Kriticshosay always seem to argue against common sense.

In my opinion; if convicted the DANNY DEEVER would be appropriate, full colors, full parade.
Include television coverage so even the civilians can see the consequences of an individuals actions against his comrades in arms and the nation.

But I guarantee you he regretted it every day of the five years he was in captivity.

I suspect the only thing he regretted was leaving showers and sanitary bathroom facilities......

I've said since day one that if you check the ponytailed old man's phone records and email, you'll find he's been in contact with the son since he first deserted......

Wasn’t there testimony from an Islamist that Bergdahl went to the gun range with his comrades and walked around their farmer’s markets or something like that?

Can that be said of Don Lemon who said the same thing last night, and asked in a sympathetic voice, if captivity supposed in isolation and with treats, if that was punishment enough for walking off post.

The whole region was told to drop what they were doing and search for this defector. Five brave men died, including one, who tried to shield others from an explosive with his own body. Fourteen more deaths can also possibly be attributed to the efforts of his capture.

Instead his parents got a Rose Garden reception and some skinship with BO.

Meanwhile, it can only be confirmed that Bergdahl has had “communication” with his parental units. It is not clear if they have actually seen each other since his return to his cushy desk job in Texas.

No matter what the results...conviction or not....The traitor will get full pay and benees for life...courtesy of our Muzzie CIC.

If he's convicted of desertion, he'll most likely be incarcerated and lose all pay and benefits. So no.. he won't receive full pay and bennies for life.
