... When the young men got back to Keystone, Fowler said they began ingesting the edible pot. He said his cousin favored some peach tart candies, each piece of candy containing 10 mg of the active ingredient in marijuana, the recommended dose for an adult consuming an edible.
But when Goodman consumed several and experienced no immediate effects he kept gobbling them up.
Luke popped two simultaneously after the first two didnt seem to do anything, said Fowler.
Then he said Goodman took a fifth candy, five times the recommended dose. His mother says her son likely didnt see the warning on the back of the container which says, The intoxicating effects of this product may be delayed by two or more hours the standardized serving size for this product includes no more than 10 mg.
Several hours later Fowler said his cousin became jittery then incoherent and talking nonsensically.
He would make eye contact with us but didnt see us, didnt recognize our presence almost. He had never got close to this point, I had never seen him like this, Fowler said.
Fowler says Goodman became pretty weird and relatively incoherent. It was almost like something else was speaking through him.
When family members left the condo Goodman refused to join them. After they left he got a handgun that he typically traveled with for protection, and turned it on himself.

And here is that Liberal propaganda getting repeated once again. Compared to what? Is the "War on Murder" a failure too because we still have murders?
Liberals/Libertarians have unrealistic standards for what they believe a "success" might look like.
So he could have just as easily gotten into the bathtub with a hair dryer.
Oh, sure, somebody's always got to throw out the Common Sense Card.
You Tea party people are so predictable.
Or tobacco products, either. I think it's a legal dodge. "our product is safe. Who the hell told you to stick it in your mouth and set it on fire?"
ROTFLOL Sounds like something Gun Control Inc. would seriously promote.
WOO HOO! My first “Removed by Moderator.”
“Sigh. Once again, Basic logic. I did not compare Alcohol to Marijuana. I pointed out that Conflating Freedom is always comparing Alcohol to Marijuana. I was MOCKING the comparison of Alcohol to Marijuana, not indulging in it.”
Again, regardless of whether you were mocking or serious, YOU brought the subject of the comparison up. YOU introduced it into the discussion, not ME. YOU cannot accuse ME of a “tu quoque” fallacy for commenting on a comparison that YOU introduced into the discussion.
“You can’t seem to tell the difference between something meant to be humorous and something meant to be serious.”
Yeah, right. You regularly try to tar anyone who disagrees with you on this topic as a pot head, so I’m not letting you play that off as a “joke”. It’s an ad hominem, a fallacy, as you are so fond of accusing other of making, except this time, the charge is accurate.
Watch your language in the future.
This part right here is priceless. :)
WOO HOO! Indeed.
Having posts removed by the mod is all fun and games until you get put in time out. Don’t know what that is? I do.
Don’t ask me how I know, but you really don’t wanna go there.
/WOO HOO!
In 15 years? You, sir, must be a model of self control.
If he were only a pothead then fine. But being a retread troll who was zotted once before - then he gets extra FR brownie points.
I don’t know how or why he is allowed to agitate and cause friction here at FR. It’s JR’s house, he is OK with it.
Poor DiogenesLamp, can’t function in this world without the big old government setting his moral standards. For the rest of us self-functioning adults, marijuana legalization is not harming us.
This kiddo was going to kill himself with or without legal pot. Deal with it.
Defended.
I am reminded of being mocked by kindergartners telling me I just don't understand something. :)
I might be mistaken in my perception of the societal change which will result from the legalization of drugs (Marijuana is just the camel's nose in the tent) but it is quite apparent that many "self-functioning adults" really have no greater grasp of the consequences beyond what they can see at their own arm's length.
IMO, think very thoroughly about where this sort of thing goes. Leave this topic to the drug promoters. Advocate against it elsewhere. Good advice for everyone? If you don’t see, think some more. Then, you’ll see.
It’s something much better addressed in each of our locales. That’s been neglected.
