... When the young men got back to Keystone, Fowler said they began ingesting the edible pot. He said his cousin favored some peach tart candies, each piece of candy containing 10 mg of the active ingredient in marijuana, the recommended dose for an adult consuming an edible.
But when Goodman consumed several and experienced no immediate effects he kept gobbling them up.
Luke popped two simultaneously after the first two didnt seem to do anything, said Fowler.
Then he said Goodman took a fifth candy, five times the recommended dose. His mother says her son likely didnt see the warning on the back of the container which says, The intoxicating effects of this product may be delayed by two or more hours the standardized serving size for this product includes no more than 10 mg.
Several hours later Fowler said his cousin became jittery then incoherent and talking nonsensically.
He would make eye contact with us but didnt see us, didnt recognize our presence almost. He had never got close to this point, I had never seen him like this, Fowler said.
Fowler says Goodman became pretty weird and relatively incoherent. It was almost like something else was speaking through him.
When family members left the condo Goodman refused to join them. After they left he got a handgun that he typically traveled with for protection, and turned it on himself.

You prove, over and over again, that you are a big government, nanny stater on every one of these threads. You want the government to dictate to everyone else YOUR defined acceptable morals. That is the foundation of a big government liberal.
So glad our founding fathers didn’t have people using mind altering substances, that they were only discovered in the last half century or so. OH WAIT, they did exist then? And yet, they didn’t think that was the role of the federal government. They believed in limited powers. Stay out of the way.
But we are so worried and demand our safety that we are willing to give up our RIGHTS just to “feel” safe.
Yet, for all of the decades and the millions we have poured into controlling mind altering substances their uses are more widespread than ever. It isn’t working and we have sacrificed far too many of our rights in the process.
Interdicting dangerous drugs is a proper role of government. Their first duty is to defend the populace, and interdicting drugs is a necessary step in accomplishing this.
Defending our borders is a constitutional requirement of our government.
If you need more, you are a nanny-state, big government liberal.
Conservatives need to defend returning our federal government back to its constitutional limits.
If you need more, you are a nanny-state, big government liberal.
If you allow drugs, you won't have a populace, and therefore won't need any borders. Again, this isn't theory, this is what happened in China.
If you don't want massive aggressive government, don't crash the system. If you crash the system, you are going to GET massive and aggressive government. The Strong men always assert themselves when a nation descends into chaos.
Oh, you are so FUNNY. Wonder how we survived for the 400 years before the government did a “power” grab in the name of keeping panty-waisted wusses like you safe.
In fact, how did human-kind survive all of these thousands and thousands of years without the US Government protecting them from those evil, evil drugs.
It’s hard to take you seriously enough to bother arguing with you. You are certainly full of “Sturm und Drang”. :)
Let’s see who is confused. Maybe it is someone on a conservative message board demanding the expansion of the federal government into private and/or state matters, continuing to erode our constutional rights.
Really, you should reconsider the delusion that you are conservative.
enjoy your bong
You missed thepoint....you were to quick to jump on arithmetic while the comment I made was about overall effect....but then subtle isn’t necessarily a strong suit for you is it?
Let’s just say that taking the time to make cartoon swear words, ....M*&^%$-F^@%$#..is worth it.
I suggest you or anyone else for that matter, go ask a cop which is the real mass killer, alcohol or pot. If he’s truthful, he’ll say without hesitation, it’s alcohol.
Anyone who has lived on this planet for over 18 years should know this.
And your point is that since alcohol kills more people than weed, we should legalize weed?
You leave off the scope of a couple of problems with this theory. First of all, why would we want more troubles?
Second of all, you ignore the gateway effect. I have known dozens of drug addicts in my life, and they all started with weed. Weed puts you into the mindset of doing drugs, and that is the greatest damage it does to people.
If you look at all drug deaths (pretty much all of which started with weed) as a percentage of drug users, i'll bet the ratio is much higher than alcohol deaths as a percentage of alcohol users.
No, that wasn’t my point. My point is alcohol compared to pot is a lethal mass murderer. Again, don’t believe me, just ask any cop.
And my point is that pot turns into a lethal mass murderer if given enough time.
Pot turns people into mass murderers? Bull sh*t. There is simply no comparison to alcohol, no matter how much you want to make it so.
Alcohol goes hand in hand with violence, car collisions, broken families etc....The next bar fight where people are choking each other out, shooting each other and basically stomping the daylights out of each other, you can bet the rent, it’s not pot fueled, but alcohol fueled.
I'm going to have to keep explaining this over and over to you again and again, because you don't seem to have comprehended anything I have said up to this point.
Pot causes drug use. Drug use escalates to harder drugs. People die from harder drugs.
I know. I've known lots of people who died because of drugs, and they all started by smoking weed.
Look, if ya think pot turns people into mass murderers, I can’t help ya and there is no use even having an exchange with you.
Good luck!
You've got bigger problems than arguing with me. You keep saying I said "Pot turns people into mass murderers" when I have said over and over again, "Pot gets people killed."
That you keep thinking the two statements are equal is an indication that you are having a serious comprehension issue. At this point, I am suspecting it is likely a consequence of too much pot.
That's another thing. Pot makes people stupid. It makes them not understand plain English. It wrecks families and makes the users dependent upon government.
Your words, not mine. You're FOS.
