If the “mob violence” is coming exclusively from blacks, and is very frequently directed exclusively at whites, I don’t see how it’s NOT the salient issue. This conservative approaches social problems from the perspective of reality. Obviously that reality makes you uncomfortable.
The conservative approach is to ask “What can we as conservatives do to improve race relations in our nation?”
It is not “How can we white people protect ourselves from this kind of violence?”
That is not a bad question. It is not an unreasonable question. It just isn’t the one that we as conservatives (and we are not all white) should be asking.
