I was planning to send him some money, but when he said he would consider means testing Social Security recipients, I decided to wait. He isn't as much of a conservative as I thought. Why can't we cut spending rather than have the government get into our business and check out our assets. The people that saved will be penalized. Means testing our retirement is socialism.

My answer is people are stupid and don't care about whether a person knows what they are talking about or whether their policies are legitimate. They are only into looks and charisma.
