If the situation is being reported accurately (and, yep, that's a big "if") then this woman has my sympathy.

In rare cases, the plumbing doesn't match the genes, and it sounds as though that might be the case here.

I'm reminded of the case where, after a botched circumcision, the decision was made to raise the child as a girl. I don't remember the specifics, but it didn't turn out well.
