On Monday evening, mainstream media reporters reportedly gave Hillary Clinton a standing ovation after she joked about her private email scandal and took no questions from the press–at an event honoring excellence in journalism.
According to a National Journal report, Clinton took no questions after her 20-minute speech in Washington, D.C., which prompted the Washington Post‘s Dan Balz, who won this year’s Robin Toner award for excellence in political reporting, to reportedly make Clinton an offer: “I am happy to yield my time back to you if you want to take some questions.” Time reported that “Clinton received a standing ovation” anyway “from the journalist-heavy crowd.”
In her speech, Clinton reportedly cracked jokes about her email scandal, saying she was “all about new beginnings. A new grandchild. A new hairstyle. A new email account. A new relationship with the press. No more secrecy, no more zone of privacy… After all what good did that do for me?”
“Before I go any further, if you look under your chairs, you’ll find a simple non-disclosure agreement. My attorneys drew it up,” she reportedly quipped.
After claiming her “relationship with the press has been at times, shall we say, complicated,” Clinton, according to CBS News, “challenged the journalists in the room to be thorough and measured.
“We need more than ever smart, fair-minded journalists to challenge our assumptions, push us towards new solutions, and hold all of us accountable,” she reportedly told mainstream media reporters who notoriously protect Democrats like Clinton.

Journalists? Journalists? MSM is a joke and only appeals to those on the wrong side of history. They are the leftists mouth pieces. But, leftists eat their own. They won’t need as many news outlets then they conquer air space. I look forward to the feast.
He said he voted for Hillary in the primary, that Obama's only problem is that he's too young and inexperienced and is simply making mistakes, that Obama is one of the worst presidents but could have been better with more time, and that he never heard of Valerie Jarrett - doesn’t know who she is.

This is what I call “the lickspittle media.” Do you know where the term “lickspittle” came from? There was an ancient tyrant and he was insane and he would drool all the time. The tyrant’s followers would reverently lick the spittle off his face as he drooled. The media are exactly like this.

I think there’s a much larger story here that has never been disclosed.
The old media was failing financially in 2008. Many of their business models simply could not survive the tech changes and internet competition.
I remember media giants going hat in hand to Obama asking for a bailout in 2009 and 2010.
And I think the story is they got their bailout with conditions.
For example, there is no reason MSNBC should exist if business fundamentals were observed. They are a huge money loser. And I think their ‘subsidy’ is ending. It is interesting that only now they are discussing the notion of having conservative voices on their shows.
I suspect there are some Solyndra type deals in the background that haven’t been reported. I’ll bet that’s where the real story is about the sycophant media.
Bootlickers will be Bootlickers. They can’t help themselves.
