If you thought that Obama was done with his tantrum over Netanyahu’s win, you haven’t seen anything yet. Get ready for more Un-American Activities Committee hearings by actual authentic un-Americans.
Call this an extension of Obama’s #47Traitors meme accusing the other branch of government of treason for opposing him. That’s usually a charge made by dictators, but a near majority of Democrats support Obama governing unilaterally, so here we come.
Now the charge, as usual made by anonymous officials, is that Israel spied on Obama’s talks with Iran… for Congress. Israel is passing classified information from the U.S. government… to the U.S. government.
This is one of the strangest headlines ever because you have that same anonymous official saying that he isn’t upset by Israel’s espionage… but that Israel passed the material to Congress.
Hey, as much as Obama views Israel as an enemy… he views Congress as an even bigger enemy.
Soon after the U.S. and other major powers entered negotiations last year to curtail Iran’s nuclear program, senior White House officials learned Israel was spying on the closed-door talks…
The espionage didn’t upset the White House as much as Israel’s sharing of inside information with U.S. lawmakers and others to drain support from a high-stakes deal intended to limit Iran’s nuclear program, current and former officials said.
“It is one thing for the U.S. and Israel to spy on each other. It is another thing for Israel to steal U.S. secrets and play them back to U.S. legislators to undermine U.S. diplomacy,” said a senior U.S. official briefed on the matter.
How dare Israel pass U.S. secrets… to the U.S. Sure go ahead spy on us… BUT HOW DARE YOU PASS INFORMATION TO THE ENEMY IN CONGRESS.
The White House discovered the operation, in fact, when U.S. intelligence agencies spying on Israel intercepted communications among Israeli officials that carried details the U.S. believed could have come only from access to the confidential talks, officials briefed on the matter said.
Israeli officials denied spying directly on U.S. negotiators and said they received their information through other means, including close surveillance of Iranian leaders receiving the latest U.S. and European offers. European officials, particularly the French, also have been more transparent with Israel about the closed-door discussions than the Americans, Israeli and U.S. officials said.
So Obama was spying on Israel and discovered that the Israelis were getting information from the French and passing them on to Congress. And he’s outraged, not by the spying, since he was doing that, but by the ‘Congress’ part.

Israel denies ‘utterly false’ claims it spied on U.S.

Israel on Tuesday vehemently denied claims that it had spied on the U.S. during the Iranian negotiations, as reported earlier by The Wall Street Journal.
Official in the Prime Minister’s Office called the allegations “utterly false.”
“The State of Israel does not conduct espionage against the United States or Israel’s other allies. The false allegations are clearly intended to undermine the strong ties between the United States and Israel and the security and intelligence relationship we share,” they said.
Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon said Israel had not received an official complaint from the American administration over such claims and that “there is no way, and there was no way, that Israel spied on the Americans. That is seriously forbidden among every level of Israel’s policy leaders.”
“Israel’s security-intelligence relationship with the U.S. has suffered no harm, someone is just trying to stir conflict,” Ya’alon said. “It’s a shame that such winds are blowing into the clandestine channels in which we conduct this relationship.”
“You have to agree to the deal — so you can find out what’s in it.”

No one gets more upset than a lying, cheating democrat when they are accused of some underhanded act.
They get even more upset at the accusation when it is true.
Notice that the USA discovered the Israeli spying by spying.
And also notice that Israel merely performed Obama’s Constitutional duty to get the “advice and consent” of Congress.
A “thank you for defending our Constitution from a tyrant” seems more in order.
