Rand has a point. Just reaching the base isn’t quite enough, and I do like Rand’s way of getting out to people who might not otherwise listen to a Republican. It helps expand the party.

But the GOP gas lost due to its utter failure to stand on principles. When they stand on principles, they win; when they don’t the lose. Ted Cruz put out a message that I think resonates with a LOT of people and can reach disillusioned voters.

The Cruz vision,. like that of Ronald Reagan before him, can be a winner.
