Cruz is absolutely engaging. I HATE Hannity, but glad to hear Cruz discuss his views in what seems like a warm, ungagey manner. He has answers*. Loved his Reagan story. If this is the Cruz he can get to the voters, he's someone most Americans are going to like and he'll win hands down.

* Cruz could go either ways on illegals in America and he tactfully avoided an answer. Suspect he'll fold on this in the future but that is likely true of all of them. Time will tell. If he can take care of step 1, secure the borders, that gives room for discussion of the next step.

You’re right that Cruz will fold on amnesty like the others, but it is not tact and unfortunately only rank political calculation that makes him avoid saying so when asked. There are so many here already that, especially with chain migration, closing the border now is insufficient—we will be lost to Leftist, Latin voting ever after.
