Even though the accusation isn’t true, why shouldn’t a resident of one state move to another state where the taxes are more favorable to them personally? I don’t see a problem with that!

Nothing per se. But if you're trying to make political points by saying someone isn't paying taxes in the state then you should probably double check your accuracy first.

Now we are evil if we refuse to stay in a state that overtaxes us and move to a different, more hospitable state?

We are indeed considered the property of The State when a “Republican” governor claims we owe it to him to stay and be robbed of our earnings.

I’m waiting for the first high-tax state to come out with “exit visas”.

An insidious thing that my suburb in IL did was “sellers inspections”, where they somehow were able to inspect your house (no doubt, for illegal upgrades) before you could sell it. It went ok, no problem, but what if there was a $40,000 “fee” for this?
