This does not surprise me. Most Israeli youth are probably able to answer the most basic of questions about civics and government and history whereas in the United States (and here in Canada as well) in many an instance you might as well be asking about Einstein’s theories or Plato’s works.
No kidding! In America in now takes a PhD in philosophy for an American to get a job at McDonalds.
In Mexico and Central America they get the same education by the 3rd grade and are qualified for a job at McDonalds when they arrive in country. And they are motivated to do the job! </Sarc>
Before voter registation cards are issued, there should be a test that demonstrates that the applicant understands the basics of goverment. People who apply for citizenship are required to know more than most voters who are born here.
Unlike here, the Israeli youth have lived the fight for the survival of their country. This country is full of spoiled miscreants who have no appreciation of their freedoms. Unfortunately, they vote Democrat.
Today’s public school students are not the people who will be the leaders of tomorrow. They be the leaders of the unemployed.
