My clock in the car is always on DST.
It requires me to keep my mind agile to remember what time it really is, lol.
Like I said earlier.. only one clock in my home reflects the correct time. Heck...it’s 5:00 somewhere.
The clocks on the phones, computers, iPads, cars, and GPS all adjust. The few I adjust by hand takes 1 minute in total to adjust.
So?
We will vote in Colorado to stay on dst permanently this November. I hope it passes. My favorite day of the year (excluding holidays) is the first day I walk out of work and it is still light outside. It would be wonderful to have that year round!
Hear! Hear!
LOL!
Let’s just spring forward and stay there.
Kids don’t.
Half my clocks don’t.
I get up best with morning light, but you DST bastards needlessly deny me that several months a year.
I’ve written lots of software that needs accurate time but accommodating DST is hard or impossible because congress keeps changing the dates, different locales do it different if at all, some serious repercussions may result from not handling edge cases properly, and is thus relegated to sheer technical frustration and implemented with a stupid “DST on or off” switch.
It’s stupid any way you cut it. It is indefensible this day and age.
Same here (Middle TN). The crack of dawn would be exactly 4am and sunset would be just after 7pm without DST.
Yes, time of day is a mandated by the government.
Maybe we should force government out of the time keeping business and each set our own clocks to our desired time.
I love having more sunlight in the afternoon.
Of course it doesn’t require a twice a year time change. I am opposed to that. I just want DST. For the better part of the year it is light later with DST. When the time changes in November it is dark at 5:30.
I admit...it is a selfish desire on my part to have more light in the evening. But I’ll bet if it were put to a vote that would be most people’s desire.
Leaving it alone at one time or another...I’d adjust to as well. And hope it happens.
I too like DST. Living in NE, November and March suck anyway so what is the difference? We can’t have 50 states with different times FGS.
Sun would come up here at 4AM and set at 7 in the summer. Really? How lazy can you get?
Ditch it! It never did have any value.
There is you, and then there is me.
Not the extra sunlight in the evening.
Besides, I really don't want a liberal congress involved. I like the daylight myself, but the change, and congress need to set it and butt out.

Why is DST such a problem?
“That’s enough for me. I ignore clocks when governments start making stupid demands.”
You are free to set your watch and all your clocks to what ever time you wish and you will not be charged with a crime.
This, when everyone else’s clock reads 3:17 p.m., your watch can read 7:39 a.m. and the Feds will not kick in your door.
If we were to move it 30 minutes and just leave it there,
would you be OK with that?
