That’s funny, that’s what initial news reports stated as well. But I guess the media will never let a good story involving a minority and cops go to waste.

"I read that"

Did you really? Then why did you repeatedly and, it seems, deliberately misrepresent what you read by saying that he got arrested for cursing?

"and was surprised that people bring arrested for Public Intoxication in Virginia end up in the hospital getting ten stitches."

You shouldn't be, unless you think that, in the course of resisting arrest, a drunk can't fall over, hit his head, and require a small number of stitches. Or that, in the course of resisting arrest, the drunk gets slammed down in an effort to restrain him and he gets hurt---of his own accord.

Why should any of that surprise you? Unless, in your endless pimping of the black grievance industry, you think the guy should be let off and/or treated with kid gloves because he's black?

"I doubt there is a law in Virginia that makes it illegal to be a member of a social justice group."

Another in your continuing line of strawmen.

Do you believe it's impossible that a member of a black social justice group might want to get on the victimhood train? Especially seeing how this has been handled so far---with a conspicuous middle-of-the-street press conference, overdramatic statements such as, "I am bloody but unbowed", etc.

It seems this guy and his people are lapping it all up. Do you disagree?

"As we all know, college kids get drunk and do and say stupid things."

Yet another strawman. Do you believe that being a college kid excuses one from consequences when said student breaks laws and resists arrest?

“Do you believe it’s impossible that a member of a black social justice group might want to get on the victimhood train?”

Not impossible, but not relevant as his club membership was not known by the arresting officer and cannot be introduced in court when he is put on trial for Public Swearing.

“Yet another strawman. Do you believe that being a college kid excuses one from consequences when said student breaks laws and resists arrest?”

If he was breaking a law, like underage drinking or public intoxication, he should be arrested. However, unless he took assaulted a cop, he should not be tackled by three cops and require stitches.

There is no evidence that he assaulted a cop, since if he did, he would be charged with assault on a peace officer.
