FBI investigating hanging death of African-American man in Mississippi
CNN ^ | March 19, 2015 | Evan Perez, CNN Justice Reporter

The hanging death of an African-American man who had been missing since early this month and was found Thursday by local authorities in Mississippi has drawn the scrutiny of the FBI and the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division.

The sheriff's office in Claiborne County, Mississippi had organized a search for the man, who had been missing since March 2 and reported missing March 8. Authorities found the body hanging from a tree in the woods behind the residence where he had been living.

It is unclear if it is a suicide, or if the man was killed by someone.

I suspect the national media knows that.

But the truth is besides the point. The objective here is to report a possible race crime so as to lend to the narrative.

When found to be a suicide it'll be buried in the local paper.

Media will somehow bundle this with the racist frat song.

Dunno, and I get the joke but, what if a Southerner traveled to Mnahattan, Yankee territory.

Would he be a Southern American?

A guy from Hatteras goes to Calipornia, is he a Cape Man?

Another goes to Idaho for some fishing and he’s from Jupiter Island....”Out of this World”?

Still, a woman lives on the shore of Lake Ten Killer, while her friend lives on the shore of Lake Mankiller, both in Oklahoma. When they get together is it a family reunion?

If one brother lives in Oklahoma in an area known as Little Dixie and has coffee with his other brother who lives in Georgia, also known as Dixie, is it a Klan meeting (LOL!! I pulled that joke on my brother when he lived in Atlanta and I lived in little Dixie. Was a riot with drinks)

So he was reported missing and it took them how many days to check his residence?

He could very well have been one of the Black Democrats who crossed over and voted in the Mississippi GOP Primary Run-off Election, helping Thad Cochran steal the MS Senate Seat away from Chris McDaniel. He probably realized what a big mistake it was to help put the pervy, old, calf-boinking dude back in Office, became despondent, and just couldn’t live with himself.

I grew up in Florida in the 60s. One day on our way to school our school bus suddenly stopped. I was sitting just right behind the driver and I heard her gasp. She then, with her voice cracking, instructed us all to not look out the front window of the bus. Of course we did only to soon regret it as there was black man hanging by the lineman hooks on a telephone pole. Police were there and instructed her to turn the bus around, which she did but not without much effort and not without every child onboard being exposed to that sight.

The man's name was Leroy, and he had been driving home from work the night before when his car quit leaving him stranded in a neighborhood where his presence was not welcomed. To my knowledge no one was ever arrested for the crime.

Liberals should be taught that labels divide people, and I think that we can do with fewer labels, not more.

-George Carlin

George Carlin didn't say that. He was a liberal.

Transcript from a video of George Carlin:

George Carlin: “Censorship from the right is to be expected. Censorship from the left took me by surprise. And I’m talking, of course, about what originated as campus speech codes at eastern universities and has come to be called politically correct language. The impulse behind political correctness is a good one, but like most things America falls in love with, it has become grotesquely distorted beyond its usefulness. And I want to take race as an example. Personally, I say black. I say black because I find that most black people say black. I don’t say people of color. People of color sounds like something you might see after some mushrooms. OK? [Audience laughing] And, and it sounds dishonest to me, because it means precisely the same thing as colored people. If you’re not willing to say colored people, you shouldn’t be willing to say people of color. Besides, the whole idea of color is sort of a bullshit idea. What shall we call white people — people of no color? Isn’t pink a color? In fact, white people are not really white at all. They’re different shades of pink and olive and beige. In other words, they’re colored. And black people are rarely black. I see mostly different shades of brown and tan. In fact, some light-skinned black people are lighter than the darkest white people. Look how dark the people in India are. They’re dark brown, but they’re considered white people. May I see the color chart, please? People of color is an awkward phrase that obscures meaning rather than enhancing it. Shall we call fat people, people of size? Personally, personally, I call fat people those persons who are bigger than they need to be. And it seems fair. I also don’t say African-American. I, I simply find it illogical and confusing. Which part of Africa are we talking about — Egypt? Egypt is in Africa. Egyptians aren’t black. They’re like the people in India; they’re dark brown white people. But they’re Africans. So why wouldn’t an Egyptian who becomes an American citizen be an African-American? And the same goes for the Republic of South Africa. Suppose a white racist from South Africa becomes an American citizen. Couldn’t he also be called an African-American? In fact, maybe he might come here and become a citizen just to piss off black people. And what about a black person, a black person born in South Africa who becomes an American citizen? What is he — an African South African-American? Or a South African African-American. So let’s look at this trendy Native American phrase. ‘Cause as far as calling them Americans is concerned, do I even have to point out what an insult this is? We steal their hemisphere, kill 20 million or so, destroy 500 separate cultures, round up the survivors and put them on the worst land we can find, and then we want to name them after ourselves. Haven’t we done enough? Huh? Do we have to degrade them further? [Cheers and applause] And as far as these campus liberals – many of them well-meaning, I assume – who insist on saying Native American are concerned, here’s something they should be told: it’s not up to you to be naming people and telling them what they ought to be called. If you’d leave the campus once in a while, you’d learn that most Americans — most Indians, I’m sorry — are insulted by the term Native American. The American Indian movement will tell you that if you ask them. I did. They told me. You know what the Indians would like to be called? By their real names: Tuscarora, Sioux, Kiowa, Chiricahua, Mescalero, Cherokee, Cheyenne, Mohawk, Seminole, Choctaw, Chickahominy, Comanche, Shoshone, and so on and so on. There were 500 nations, not just one. You’d think it would have been a fairly simple thing for us to come over here to this continent, eliminate the forests, dam up the rivers, build our malls and massage parlors, sell our blenders and whoopee cushions, poison ourselves with chemicals, commit genocide, and let it go at that. But no, no. We have to compound the insult—‘Native Americans.’ I’m glad they have their gambling casinos now. It pleases me that white people are losing their rent money to the Indians. Maybe, maybe, [Cheers and applause] maybe the Indians will get lucky and win their country back. Actually, they wouldn’t want it. Look what we did to it. Thank you very much. I appreciate it.” [Cheers and applause]

A lot of hangings are accidental while participating in auto erotica.

They don't usually happen a half mile into the woods in the winter and hanging from a tree do they?

Oh boy how convenient is this story? Well it surely feeds into the “narrative”. Are there actually people who think the KKK or someone from the Aryan Nation hung this guy?

Did you read the link to which I replied? It was written by one George Carlin. I copy pasted the final sentence.

Maybe this particular case is already solved or it is if I allow my imagination to run wild it possible that the story did not happen and that no one died. Most news organizations print whatever comes off of the AP wire. Maybe this time every news organization is repeating the story. But I will assume the story is true and I would like to pray for this man who was lynched and his family. I fear what is happening is that someone will be forced to confess to the crime. Another possibility is that a paid actor will confess and make the situation a big media story. The administration has been trying to begin a race war in the United States for several years.

If the guy hung himself, can he be charged with a “race crime”?

Dude. Getting way ahead here. Report from sheriff is that he was hung by bedsheets. Not the preferred apparatus of your typical lyncher.

I’m still waiting on the Eric Holder DOJ to begin investigating the horrific Newsom-Christian murders, or the appalling murder of the elderly Straits in Tulsa.

Tragic. Sad to think that such things could ever have happened. It can't be denied that there has been and still is a lot of injustice in many places. We should all hunger for its abolition.

I like the joke from Bo Diddley’s “Say Man”:

Bo: Where you from?
Gerome: South America.
Bo: You don’t look like no South American to me.
Gerome: I’m still from South America.
Bo: What part?
Gerome: South Texas.
