At least we as tax payers will not be paying. He can get his money from his speeches and unreadable books.

Perhaps you don't understand the concept of crony capitalism.

He inherited his money from his great grandfather. Upon his death his grandmother was promoted to VP - head of the trust department of the HI bank. She was also made his legal guardian, then moved him to a penthouse and enrolled him in private school. He’s had all the priveledge of wealth his entire life

The purpose of writing the book about his African father was to keep people from investigating the millions made by his white ancestor by negotiating writing mineral leases in OK and Kansas. If anyone would investigate The company G-Grandad worked for in Tulsa I believe you’ll find it owns controlling interest in Solyndra. (Do you understand why he vetoed the pipeline?)

Former President Bill Clinton’s 8,300-square-foot Harlem office near the Apollo Theater costs taxpayers nearly $450,000. George W. Bush spends $85,000 on telephone fees, and another $60,000 on travel. Jimmy Carter sends $15,000 worth of postage - all on the government’s dime.

The most exclusive club in the world has a similarly exclusive price tag - nearly $3.7 million, according to a new report from the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service. That’s how much the federal government spent last year on the four living ex-presidents and one presidential widow.

Topping the list in 2012 was George W. Bush, who got just over $1.3 million last year.

I’ve got a feeling that housing/rotating in secret service to Hawaii will cost us all a tad more that if Barry had gone ‘home’ to Chicago.
