EXCLUSIVE-MICHELLE MALKIN: SCOTT WALKER DESERVES TO BE VETTED MUCH BIGGER THAN OUSTED PRO-AMNESTY AI

Full Title: EXCLUSIVE — MICHELLE MALKIN: SCOTT WALKER DESERVES TO BE VETTED, ‘PROBLEMS’ MUCH BIGGER THAN OUSTED PRO-AMNESTY AIDE

Nationally syndicated conservative columnist Michelle Malkin, founder of the website Twitchy, tells Breitbart News that Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker—a potential 2016 GOP presidential candidate—needs to be vetted. She also says Walker’s “problems” run much deeper than the decision to hire—then quickly let go of—pro-amnesty communications aide Liz Mair, who had taken shots at Iowa.

“Scott Walker has much bigger problems than the ill-considered hiring and firing of one D.C. operative,” Malkin said in an email.

What does he really stand for and is he fully equipped to bear the slings and arrows of his enemies on a national and global scale? Yes, he fought Big Labor and has managed his state well. But grass-roots activists in his state have long been warning me of his ideological gymnastics on core issues: immigration and education.

He has been on the same side as the progressive Left and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Right: pro-amnesty, pro-massive legal immigration expansionist, and pro-Common Core. He’s been left, right, center, and all over the map.

She added that Washington-based GOP establishment forces are good at backing up establishment politicians, as they seemed to have tried to do to defend Walker and Mair.

“The D.C. consultant class and Capitol Hill GOP operators are adept at swooping in to ‘rescue’ the campaigns of neophytes and molding them into Beltway barnacle tools,” Malkin said. “They did it with Spencer Abraham and Marco Rubio and Paul Ryan. Face it: Many of the D.C. messaging ‘experts’ and ‘communicators’ DO have their own policy agenda and it is naive or stupid to believe they have no sway or influence on ambitious, outside the Beltway seekers of higher public office with no fixed principles.”

Don’t b1tch about the current process. This IS the vetting process. And Walker is hardly a helpless waif on being able to explain, define and defend himself. This is the big leagues. He’s a big boy. And he needs to realize the rest of the country may not know him as well as Wisconsin does, and not take the questions and examination of him, personally.

He better get stuff right now, when most of the people asking him are his friends on the right trying to make sure they know where he’s coming from.

Matthew Boyle again at Breitbart....figures.

Michelle,

Governor Walker is the most vetted Republican candidate outside of Sarah Palin. He has won 3 elections in 4 years. He regrettably supported "comprehensive immigration reform," but has since made recent remarks denouncing that and putting border security first.

ALL of the current and potential GOP candidates are on record as having supported amnesty in the past.

Scott Walker has NEVER proposed or signed ANY pro-illegal legislation as Governor.

The GOP establishment is NOT supporting Walker. They are firmly on the side of Jeb, Rubio, Huckabee, and Christie.

The leftist media has been attacking Walker non-stop.

Michelle and others, we finally have a Republican candidate that can unite all of the conservative factions (fiscal, social, and nat'l security) AND appeal to both working-class Reagan Democrats and libertarians.

Ripping on Walker will only ensure a Jeb nomination as the conservative coalition fractures.

You've been warned.

Cruz supporters are not referred to as “Cruzbots”. Grow up.

I didn’t call you an “Idiotbot”.

I like Walker AND Cruz.

Walker is a sitting governor of a large state!

He is actively running a nation wide presidential campaign!!

Walker can not personally scrutinize every detail of dozens and dozens people being hired!!!

But I commend Walker on taking a quick and decisive action about firing a hired employee quickly after her agenda came to light.

Michelle Malkin is frustrated because her darling candidate is not running well in polls.

Look, I like Malkin...but the term “vetting” is loaded. It smacks of “we’re going to really check you out.” Well, no one, repeat, no one, checks out at every point. If you wish to eat our own, even before Chris Matthews eats him, then help yourself. I find no one able to actually manage a municipality (that’s what the US is) deftly and smoothly and save taxes and calm the natives and tell the left to shove it any better than Walker. So, I can bitch about the process and tell you that if you beat up this guy and don’t have someone better, you are going to end up with your girl friend, Hillmonster.

How about just EVERYONE be vetted. Is there anyone, really, who should NOT be vetted?

Okay, how about Walker & Cruz or Cruz & Walker? But, even Cruz has his bumps and bruises.

I am not married to the term. I could easily use “testing”, “trying”, “trial”, or “learning” who he is. Just used it b/c it was in the story and I think in your response you used it.

Me too. We are lucky to have a choice like this in this election. Imagine if the only choices were Jeb, Christie and Mitt.2 ?
