Presbyterian Church (USA) Changes Its Constitution To Include Gay Marriage

By Sarah Pulliam Bailey March 17

The Presbyterian Church (USA), the largest body of Presbyterians in the country, approved a change in the wording of its constitution to allow gay and lesbian weddings within the church, a move that threatens to continue to split the mainline Protestant denomination.

The 171 regional presbyteries (local leadership bodies within the PCUSA) have been voting on whether to change the wording to call marriage a contract “between a woman and a man” to being “between two people, traditionally a man and a woman.” On Tuesday, the denomination reached its needed majority of “yes” votes from at least 86 presbyteries to take effect. The change will be included in the church’s “Book of Order,” part of its constitution, taking effect on June 21.

The church, which has more than 1.7 million members, voted last June to allow clergy to perform same-sex weddings. That vote gave clergy the choice of whether to preside over same-sex marriages in states where they are legal, an action which is now allowed in 36 state and the District of Columbia. Clergy will not be compelled to perform same-sex marriage.

The descent into hell of many Protestant denominations.
This includes The Episcopal Church, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the United Church of Christ allow same-sex marriage, Methodist denominations, and the worldwide Anglican Church

This must be what it means when the Bible says: “a great falling away of the church”.

Any church ... or "church" that changes its constitution, was not a church in the first place, so any 'church' that changes its constitution to include sodomites ... an abomination to God .. is a Satanic entity

And I don't much give two rats if it's Presby, Catholic, Baptist ... whatever

We're talkin' CHURCH here ... infallible word of God, unchangeable, the same yeterday, today forever CHURCH

Y'jes' DON'T go changing a constituition to include that which God deems filthy

There are times when saying “God Damn them” is not taking the Lord’s name in vain.

This is nothing new, and the Presbyterian Church that I respect was able to untangle from Presbyterian Church USA about 4 years ago. Miraculously, they were able to keep all of their assets and their ministry is flourishing.

Thank God.

“Gay Marriage”

Not about procreation nor love, but about sodomy. Disagree, then let any atypical relationship marry.

“between two people, traditionally a man and a woman.”

Marriage wasn't created by "tradition." It was created by God, at the very beginning. In just the same way "up" and "down" were created by God. It is what it is.

And in its highest sense, marriage represents the mystery of the relationship between Christ and His body, the church.

These reprobates are playing with hell fire.

God has a history of dealing very harshly with those who try to distort such crucial typology.

Thankfully, the Catholic Church has the promise of Christ, that the gates of hell shall never prevail against her.

With all due respect, I don’t need the Catholic Church to enjoy the benefits of that promise.

"And I don't much give two rats if it's Presby, Catholic, Baptist ... whatever"

Are Baptists participating in this idiocy? I haven't heard of that yet.

The Catholic Church did not exist when Jesus Christ was on earth. They are subject to the same satanic temptations of Protestants...unless you are thinking that the Catholic Church is completely under Satan’s power...which I can assure you it is not...not anymore than any of the Protestant Churches.

My daughter and I were talking about government creep. First it was non-smoking sections in restaurants, now you have to be 25-feet away from any door.

I told her - “I’m pretty sure that in your lifetime you will see marriage between humans and animals.”

She laughed.

“No - I’m serious. I know lots of people that “love” their animals more than the people around them.”
