The suspect charged with shooting two police officers during a demonstration in Ferguson, Mo., last week is now recanting a confession that he was the gunman, his lawyer told Yahoo News on Tuesday.
“He told me that he never fired a weapon,” said Jerryl T. Christmas, attorney for Jeffrey Williams.
Christmas said Williams, 20, was scared and in a “tremendous amount of pain,” having allegedly been pistol-whipped before being questioned by detectives.
“I think under those circumstances he would have said anything,” Christmas said. “Anytime someone is questioned without counsel and then I see that kind of bruising, then I'm suspicious about any statements that he may have voluntarily given.”
The lawyer said the injuries can be seen in the jail mug shot of his client.
“He had bruising … you see the redness on the right side of his face,” Christmas said. “I don't see how they are denying it, it’s right there on their own mug shot.”(continued)

One of the standard interrogation scams is to say, “well I can understand how something like that can happen. You didn’t mean for it to, but by accident... etc.” Could be he fell for that. Looking forward to seeing the tape.
Wasn’t his original story that he was beaten and robbed by some unknown person and that’s who he was shooting at?
Not necessarily, but it certainly without doubt connect the rounds to the gun.
The suspect could come up with an alibi. In fact he has done that twice now. The first being he didn't intend to shoot the cops. The second he didn't even shoot the gun.
Will the new alibi be believable in a town that's a racial powered keg ginned up by the race industry kingpins?

Remember when we lived in an “Exceptional” country where confessions actually were real?
They can say anything they want, in fact this will be the 3rd alibi or version and likely a version that will kick the beehive once again. Those who believed Brown was innocently shot down, never changed their minds even in the face of so much damning evidence. It turned the town on it’s head.
The caught him 2 days later and i’m pretty sure unless it’s really blatant residue is checked for in a lab and not by the officer at that point.

Poor baby, you're still cranky about the capture of your hero Eric Frein.... By the way, law enforcement doesn't know someone is unarmed UNTIL they subdue that person. Eric Frein had already assasinated one trooper and maimed another while trying to murder him, also. They found some homemade bombs he was leaving in the woods. He wound up with some minor scrapes on his face while they held down and searched him on capture.
If your heart still weeps for him, though, you can bake him some pretty cupcakes and visit him in jail.
I’m not saying he didn’t do it... but police tactics during questioning can be questionable, at best.
Yes, of course the testing is done in the lab, but the officer can administer the taking of the sample that is sent to the lab.

Right. Ferguson is under a microscope and the cops decide they can get away with pistol whipping some dumbass.

Great explanation - but what I think could be important now, because of his changing of his testimony claiming he didn’t like guns (or use guns); if they had taken the swab of his hands and clothing, they could disprove his new statements.
That’s the point I was trying to make.

Do you think anyone in that crowd and those in the race industry will believe his latest version, that it was the cops who caused his injuries? I think they will.
Or will all these people believe cops, who will deny the beating?
