Joe Scarborough introduces Cruz and makes note of recent stories of little girl, Julia, in New Hampshire about the world being on fire. (clip)
Cruz speaks about how he spoke to the mother of Julia yesterday.
Discussion about New Hampshire press and national press .The local press was not focused on the world on fire.
Asked by Joe, and Cruz answered: The tough question is: How can we trust you?
Joe brings up other issues such as crony capitalism. Do you talk about these things?
Cruz responds that working men and women are hurting and the way to resolve it is economic growth.
Joe asks what type of action? Cruz responds that tax reform and regulatory reform will improve the economy. What would your tax reform look like? Perfect, ideal, acceptable Perfect is flat tax and abolish IRS I dont have the rate yet.
My attitude on compromise is the same as Reagans.
Mika art of a deal Letter to Iran was the intention to get in the way of negotiations?
Cruz: The letter was intended to stop a bad deal. I was involved in negotiating a treaty
Cruz if we didnt have a president like Obama, we wouldnt need to make it clear our constitution gives congress a vital role.
Cruz is it your position to reign in the president? Mika - down the road to war.
Joe no Mika! Joe calls Mika to task
Cruz points out that administration to the media instead of giving congress information.
Cruz talks about Nicaragua and Woodrow Wilson examples as times when congress weighed in.
We dont have a supreme leader like Iran. ..This is a unilateral president.
Joe refers to reaction in the press as letter being unconstitutional, precedence, etc. and reiterates Cruzs history lesson and adds that democrats wrote a letter to president of Nicaragua.
Mika says this history lesson is deflecting from the discussion.
Willie Geist asks Cruz about his run for president. Whats the argument against running?
Cruz talks about support on the trail (response to text request). In New Hampshire, first story that broke was from CNN, buried in the 20th paragraph there were substantially larger groups that came out for me than for Bush or Walker and there was more enthusiasm. That used to be called news. It is called burying the lead.
What was the headline? Cruz startles little girl and snubbed a goat.
Geist gets back to the question why not run- whats the argument against it? Cruz said they are measuring support.
Mika: Little girl thing was cute I think you are very nice. Cruz says youre going to get grief from your listeners.
McCain says he is sorry for signing that letter. Cruz said, I would sign it and I would sign it in large print.
Oh my. Watched. Love love this guy.
“Looks like you wrote that transcript in too much of a hurry . . .”
Or you could say, “Thank you for the transcript! It was great, and there was enough there that I really didn’t have to increase PMSNBC’s counter! I hope you take the time to provide transcripts like this in the future!”
You could say that.
The mom and daughter were both confident people. Little girl did not stop playing on the phone except to show mom what she had done. That little girl is not afraid of anything I betcha. Kudos to her for intently playing and listening to Ted Cruz at the same time.
An Ego that threatens to eclipse that of Obama.
Mika gives credence to the “C”word
Thanks for the report so we don’t have to watch mind numbing shows on MSNBC.
Cruz expertly handed Mika and education on seperation of powers and law making in America...apparently she’s learned how dictators make laws in her classes in Cuba or something.

*******
It really IS worth it to watch Cruz, “expertly” handle libs as gwgn02 said. We can all learn from watching him.
Cruz is great!
I'm sure we'll hear later from Walker's new communications and social media manager, Liz Mair of Mair Strategies, about how American citizens need to sacrifice for these illegal invaders. She's an open-borders and amnesty supporter.
I watched that interview and Mika clearly was excited thinking she had a gotcha on Cruz when he said the letter was intended to interfere with the deal. She made him repeat it. He handled her beautifully and should be used as an example as how to behave during hostile interviews. A great performance.
Thanks!
Will someone please tell me why these Conservative guys like Cruz, Cotton and others keep appearing on MSNBC. Not only does it have a record low number of viewers, the ones they do have are all knee jerk Liberals.
I have to say, Cruz was in excellent form, and even on an excellent forum at MJoe to show off his skills.
The constraints of the clock running segment time kept Joe moving him along. It made Cruz not “overwork” some of his tendency to story telling.
Cruz looked more crisp, because of the pace, and therefore he took drove his replies much more expeditiously and perfectly, To. The. Point.
My personal taste prefers that. Sometimes I think he can wonder off into anecdotal experiences for too long, and I’m left anxious for the meat and hard facts, and hearing his grasp and knowledge of the indisputable history of conservative political solutions that made this country out perform the world.
This was the forum for him to do what I like about him best.
Leave the emoting of the anecdotes to the stump, where fan moms insist on bringing their itty bitty kids to distract, or otherwise elevate the real risk of rude distraction from the urgency of the message.
Very bad form, moms. I want to say, “Not here, not now”.

Ted knows how to handle media DBs.
Seriously, I think it is because they are not intimidated and are more than up to the job.
Cotton made Schieffer look like a pompous fool, and Cruz blew through Morning Joe with the ease of a pleasant breeze.
It has been rare to have so many conservative candidates able to so gracefully manhandle the Lefty media. They have deposited so many on the cutting room floor. But not this bunch.
